webhead 519 Posted March 26, 2019 Like I did on the Center, I'll come here to tell you all the cool things I've done/changed around officially. Created widgets for Top Posters and Top Forums (like the days of old) for the portal. Took me a while because I had to learn this shit from scratch. Created a widget called Quick Links for the portal with links to various places our members are part of. I will keep updating it with things anyone wants to add. Let me know. Fixed the fancy URLs after I broke it. Your bookmarks should be working again. Woops. I've changed the text color selector to the old color wheel but the catch is...the current one is cached in your browser and you'll have to clear the cache to see it. I tried like hell to figure out how the fuck to version it but it is SO ingrained in the board that you're just gonna have to do that. IF you're not sure how to do that, google it. I am going to keep trying to figure out how to do that so it updates for everyone. Set the name switching to 1 time every 60 days. If you derp, PM me and I'll fix it but for the most part, let's keep it reasonable. I hate when people change names. On that note, there are lots of new profile fields now. USE THE ALIAS FIELD. Some of us don't know what your new names are. I've also added lots of gaming and chat related profile fields as well. Go nuts. I've now created lots of plugins to take care of all the little edits to this and that old thing. This should, again, make it easier for me to keep the board updated. Next test I'll be doing is an upgrade to 4.4 as we're on the newest 4.3.x line right now. I fully expect shit to break. Created several posting ranks for various post counts. We can make a fun topic to choose them all from here though. I'm not attached to it. I have re-created the Serious Business skin for this board. I've also made several small edits to make things look right (like getting rid of the circle avatars everywhere and adding borders where needed). Created Vote and Intensify buttons for the editor. I'm still working on making vote work the way it did in the old days. Will update as we go. If anyone has feelings on what buttons are available on the editor at various screen sizes, let me know. I can add buttons to the mobile view if you want them. I tried to keep it relatively simple for now. That should cover most noticeable things I've done since the forum opened. webhead 519 Posted March 28, 2019 Couple quick changes today Added DudeGoBack to the Quick Links on the portal. Fixed the Reddit embed having a transparent background on Nostalgia. When you paste a Reddit link it'll do a nice embed of the first post. Kinda cool. Kinda not as cool is that on Nostalgia the background was transparent and you'd end up with black and dark gray text on a gray background. Check your text color wheel today. I haven't cleared my cache or anything but mine is now showing up as the new colors. Might be for you too. ISO Share this post Link to post
