Story time. 

 

I was listening to me Discover Weekly on Spotify cause I am looking to expand my playlists with some stuff I probably wouldn't try out. Found a couple good ones, and a few bad. Then this song starts playing and I immediately perked up thinking "I know this voice!" so I go to the artists page and scroll down to her 2006 album and play the first song and there it is. 

 

See, I have been trying to find this damned song for 12 fucking years. I used to listen to it on repeat through dubious sources so I never got its name or the name of the artist. And since it wasn't a super well known artist or song it got lost in the ever shifting sands of the music industry. 

 

The name of the song is Fidelity by Regina Spektor. 

 

A 12 year search ended by a random ass song on an algorithm generated playlist on Spotify. (Two birds was that one btw)

My top songs were nearly all Rush songs - songs I was learning on bass and listened to a ton - and "Badge" by Cream, another song I like to play along with on bass.
