Meat on a bun.  Sandwich.

I also say yes because:
*Bun is br
ead which the meat fits nicely in.
*You can eat it with all kinds of condiments (or plain)

It's funny to see how many people on my friends post were saying no without pointing out that the dog by istelf didn't make it a sandwich. But not giving any other real reason why it wasn't besides that.

Also did anyone else used to cut the hot dogs length wise and place them on regular slices of bread?

It might technically be, but if you go to a restaurant and order a sandwich or ask someone "hey, can you make me a sandwich" and then they ask what you want on it and describe it to them, they'd go "That's a hot dog." So I'm a No even though I'm also a Yes.

Yes!

It might be a sandwich in the same sort of "eh, technically" way a tomato is a fruit, but a sandwich it be.

I say no because a sandwich in my mind need to have 2 separate pieces of bread and a hotdog clearly is just one.

Besides buns split half the time so they would still be 2 pieces.

Not gonna lie when I worked fast food back in the day the official name for burgers were hot sandwiches. Assuming that's what you were getting into with your love of burgers big boi!

But that's the only difference for a hot dog bun from most sandwiches is that it isn't sliced all the way through. So it still essentially be called a sandwich.

I made the same argument point yesterday. :highfive:

I know a tomato is a fruit, but I wouldn’t put it in a fruit medley. I guess a hot dog is technically a sandwich, but it’s definitely not in the same category as a a ham and cheese or a turkey club.
