We've heard the stories behind most of our online handles already, but what about our actual names? My birth name was Daniel Erik Evanson. Erik I assume was chosen because my dad's family is from Norway, so there's some Scandinavian roots in it. From what I understand, Daniel was chosen because one of my dad's favorite songs was "Danny Boy". Since I came out, I go by Erika Arabella Evanson. Erika is basically just the female version of my middle name. I always liked my middle name more than my first name, so it felt natural to just use that. Arabella is from one of my favorite Arctic Monkeys songs, and because the lyrics basically describe the singer's perfect girl.

It can't be a developmental territory anymore if it's going head to head with AEW to put them out of business. A lot more older stars definitely have to be on it.

We just played this game (Switch version) - it was so flipping cute. The story/platforming aspect is very easy and pretty short (but very sweet and engaging), but the rhythm game parts are surprisingly difficult, which means scope for practicing post-game to do more than scrape a pass! But we watched the trailer and were pretty instantly sold on the adorable pixel art, character design, music and general birdyness. Would definitely recommend for a rainy afternoon or two, and will definitely be keeping an eye out for a sequel/anything similar by the same team!

NES at my first neighbor friend's house. Kindergarten maybe? Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. Duck Hunt also but the parents wouldn't let me use the light gun since I was only like 5 and I was always trying to take things apart. (friends were a few years older) We didn't have enough money for our own system until 1993 or so and got a Sega Genesis first, with Sonic. We tried it for a bit, didn't like it, took it back and got an SNES with Super Mario All-Stars. Came with Super Mario 2 and Super Mario 3 that I played a ton of. Only other game we actually owned was Super Mario World. Played a bunch of other games that I just borrowed from my friends like F-Zero, Star Fox, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid.

This video is in Russian with English subtitles, but I think it's interesting enough to post about it here. Basically this talks about this very rare series of Famicom cartridges that came along with an adapter made by Konami for use in Japanese schools. People have tried to dump the ROMs before but they would always come out garbled because no one had the adapter, so this is one of the first times the two have been put together so that the contents of all these cartridges can be dumped and put up for everyone to use.

It's a good thing you had the AC adapter because I think battery life on that thing was something like 2 hours. I got one mainly for Columns. Don't think I played much else on it.

HELLO! ...I've been taking a social media break, more or less, for a lot of reasons (partly mental health and needing to be creative, partly birthdays and holidays, partly dog getting sick and looking after him). Catching up and checking in now!

Yeah, that used to bug me - but then I got over it and decided to post things even if it was basically just to talk to myself. Can't get people into something if you don't get in their face about it a bit. Start making some new threads, MT and KK.
