Welcome to the new forum! The purpose of this forum is to be somewhere a little more controlled, fun, and generally free from annoyance and angry topics. As you start posting, keep a few things in mind: To keep that care free attitude going, this board bans any and all political, religious, and any related discussions. These types of topics have historically proven extremely contentious and offputting (in other words it makes us all hate each other), and we're going to avoid them completely on this board. Don't bring up these topics, don't make jokes about them, just find something else. There is WAY too much anger on every side of these discussions and we've had all the ones we can have. Continuing to reference politics with jokes and whatnot is just going to irritate people so don't. On that point, if you still wish to have these discussions, please, keep visiting the Center. This board is meant to be a companion to that board but separate and run in an entirely different way. We're going to have stricter rules than we've had in the past regarding the content of posts. Don't troll people, avoid off color remarks, and while I understand that everyone has their own sense of humor, in the interests of the community, let's just clean it up. You can curse and all that shit if you like, but try and keep it calm. Don't scream curse words at each other, make disparaging jokes, and if someone says "hey I don't like that" then just stop saying it. If you need to let loose somewhere, The Center is the place for it. You can shitpost to your heart's desire over there. That's the general idea, but we'll try and decide upon the official rules as a community as we go. MT and I will be asking for and assigning some mods to get us up and running. I can't police the place by myself, though I doubt it should need much, and I want to make sure things stay relaxed and that people who are purposely annoying get banned. This is the closest thing to a safe relaxing space we can get so I want to keep it that way. An alternative for the folks that don't want to deal with the lawless nature of The Center! There will likely not be a mod forum. I'm going to avoid the whole "inner circle" stuff we've gone through in the past. If you are made a mod, it's because I trust your judgement and I need help keeping things clean. On that note, if you have a post deleted, a mod will reach out to you to tell you why. Don't argue about it. Take it in stride and understand that this board is meant to be a forum free from the usual off-putting behavior we've had in the past. I want this place to lure back people that gave up posting because they didn't want to deal with it anymore. If that's too much for you, you're more than welcome to keep posting at The Center. No hard feelings. This may not be for everyone just like The Center is not for everyone. The beauty of the 2 forum setup is that you can stick with the one that matches your personality and needs more or do both. Please keep your avatars clean. No porn, gore, or shocking imagery of any kind. If you wish to put stuff in your signatures, we can work with you to an extent but definitely no porn either way. It's quite simple to hide signatures of people that you don't like to see the signatures of (click the little x under their post and hide their signature), so you can probably just go ahead and hide a few people right out of the gate. The place is still going through some changes. As of this posting that I'm putting up in advance, I'm still working on extra features (like intensify and vote) as well as getting all the emoticons up and going. It might take a little bit. I might not even pull the rip cord on this until we're done. Either way, I'll also make a topic for suggestions and issues. Keep an eye out. It'll be pinned in the Tech Center forum (or whatever we decide to call it who knows). So in closing...

Something you're holding in your hands...yes. Also being able to run games better in general would be nice. Opens up more possibilities.

Only shines because of the Joker? He's the entire focus of the movie. Harvey Dent was also a fucking incredible and important part of the movie. Everything about that movie was just so...fucking good. IW was good but TDK is just better. People that don't even like comic shit tend to like TDK (like Xylus).

Anyone else have suggestions here? I'm open to them. That screenshot is still what I've got (probs put SSJ God at 9001 or something doofy). I figure we can put them up every 100 or so. You can make a custom title at 500 sure (might raise that higher) but I felt like this could be a fun community thing. If people throw them out we can make a list and vote (unless the list is small enough we don't need to ).

Like I did on the Center, I'll come here to tell you all the cool things I've done/changed around officially. Created widgets for Top Posters and Top Forums (like the days of old) for the portal. Took me a while because I had to learn this shit from scratch. Created a widget called Quick Links for the portal with links to various places our members are part of. I will keep updating it with things anyone wants to add. Let me know. Fixed the fancy URLs after I broke it. Your bookmarks should be working again. Woops. I've changed the text color selector to the old color wheel but the catch is...the current one is cached in your browser and you'll have to clear the cache to see it. I tried like hell to figure out how the fuck to version it but it is SO ingrained in the board that you're just gonna have to do that. IF you're not sure how to do that, google it. I am going to keep trying to figure out how to do that so it updates for everyone. Set the name switching to 1 time every 60 days. If you derp, PM me and I'll fix it but for the most part, let's keep it reasonable. I hate when people change names. On that note, there are lots of new profile fields now. USE THE ALIAS FIELD. Some of us don't know what your new names are. I've also added lots of gaming and chat related profile fields as well. Go nuts. I've now created lots of plugins to take care of all the little edits to this and that old thing. This should, again, make it easier for me to keep the board updated. Next test I'll be doing is an upgrade to 4.4 as we're on the newest 4.3.x line right now. I fully expect shit to break. Created several posting ranks for various post counts. We can make a fun topic to choose them all from here though. I'm not attached to it. I have re-created the Serious Business skin for this board. I've also made several small edits to make things look right (like getting rid of the circle avatars everywhere and adding borders where needed). Created Vote and Intensify buttons for the editor. I'm still working on making vote work the way it did in the old days. Will update as we go. If anyone has feelings on what buttons are available on the editor at various screen sizes, let me know. I can add buttons to the mobile view if you want them. I tried to keep it relatively simple for now. That should cover most noticeable things I've done since the forum opened. I've got a few things to tweak and I'll update again when I finish things.

Couple quick changes today Added DudeGoBack to the Quick Links on the portal. Fixed the Reddit embed having a transparent background on Nostalgia. When you paste a Reddit link it'll do a nice embed of the first post. Kinda cool. Kinda not as cool is that on Nostalgia the background was transparent and you'd end up with black and dark gray text on a gray background. Check your text color wheel today. I haven't cleared my cache or anything but mine is now showing up as the new colors. Might be for you too.

Baby makes all those things basically impossible now. I have to try and sleep during the time she is asleep. I can't stay up until 3am because she'll be up at like 7 or 8 and while Jovanna is very kind and lets me sleep in a little, we both need the extra sleep from getting up a few times during the night to feed the babbo. Going to get worse when Jovanna goes back to work and we've got to try and get up around 6am. Not looking forward to that. The sad part is I realize that's just gonna be it after that. Lol. Before I could still do like 12-6 and be alright but not with a baby waking me up. I'd be a zombie. Still...I am going to try and watch Lost Boys. I've always wanted to. Will try and convince Jovanna. She has this extremely annoying hang up about old movies. Feel like I'm trying to get a teenager to watch an 80s movie.

Life happens man. I will soon though maybe. Takes longer to do these things when Jovanna doesn't want to watch the thing.
