Zack is basically a part-time member at this point. He's been on every album since the first. Been listening to that as well as a mix of stuff when I go out skating. Mostly Pig Destroyer and Ministry this week. Also been bumpin' Immortal Technique's Revolutionary Vol. 1 for the last week or so. Just some good barebones, stripped down hip-hop talking about the revolution and all sorts of political and socioeconomic topics. Great shit. Just wish he'd actually come out with something new for once.

I don't really watch much on my own time. I thought it would be fun to run a channel of my own for point-and-click games, but I just don't really have the time to dedicate. My girlfriend started a stream just before quarantine, though, and she's been doing pretty well. Almost to 100 followers, and she usually has a regular group of 3-10 people that are active in the chat. I'm her moderator, so it's probably the only stream I watch with any regularity. She's also done Oblivion, and plans to do Outlast when she hits 100 followers.

Yeah, I've been on the revolutionary train. Rage, Ice Cube/NWA, Immortal Technique, Ministry, Dayglo Abortions, etc. What a great time for hip-hop and punk.

The Prequel DLC is fun. It's a bit different in that it's more cinematic and environmentally interactive, but it's enjoyable. Definitely helps fill in some gaps for Ellie, too.

Was listening to Frizzle Fry this morning. Been quite a long time, and almost forgot how damn good this album is. "Groundhog's Day" has always been my favorite on the album, and still hits the same way. When it gets to the fast passage, it almost makes me want to get up and punch someone.

Well the implies that a hole is two-dimensional. Holes are, by nature, three-dimensional. So an opening has to be a hole unless you're differentiating by size or depth. But I think you'll find that an opening is nothing more than a square to the hole's rectangle.

I consider a tube or a tunnel a hole, and one connected hole, so I say one.

I'd imagine the manuals are definitely in 2 since that's where they started. Adding reverts is clutch, though.

What Birdy said. I would change very little. I'd include manuals in Tiny Hawk 1, and maybe add Tony Hawk 3's reverts. Other than that, maybe a new level or two and a couple new objectives could be cool. This is actually weird, because I've been getting an itch to play THPS3.

I actually like the English voice acting in this game. But I also don't usually turn Japanese on for video games unless it's based on an anime.

Research paper got in the way. I haven't really been playing anything because of that, because I've been trying to stay away from the distraction I know will eat into my school time too much. I have been playing Monster Hunter World with my girlfriend here and there, though. We've only played like 3 times so far and haven't gotten too far. There's so much to fucking learn in that game, but it gets more fun as you do. That's my "play with the girlfriend" game, so it'll be an ongoing project for however long. My current slate right now is Digimon World: Next Order, Death Stranding, and FFVIIR. I'm going to plow through Digimon, probably try to get all the trophies(as they seem mostly easy to get), then get back to Death Stranding. Don't know if I'll go for all the trophies, but I'll definitely do as much side stuff to "100%" it otherwise. Once I'm done with those, I'm gonna go through FFVIIR on Hard Mode and go for all the trophies. I think I can pull it off. Once I'm done with that, I'm planning to finish FFIX and Persona 3 over the summer, and move on from there. I honestly haven't touched Animal Crossing since Final Fantasy came out. Any free time I had went right into that game, and then I went into school-focus mode, so I just haven't been able to find the motivation to make time for it. After this semester, I'll probably get back to it like you and make sure to put in an hour or two each day. After hearing Garlic talk about it, I'm really considering getting Streets of Rage 4.

My trophy count's pretty shit. I used to put more effort into my Gamerscore back when I played Xbox 360 a lot. So it's nothing too impressive

I like how despite us probably coming off less angry about it, Vic is ultimately mirroring the same opinions about the ups and downs of this game.

Light spoiler for the end plot, but

I used to watch this dude's reviews all the time. He was always more negative about the games I liked, but he never failed to call out bullshit in a hilarious way whether I agreed or not. He's actually much more generous here than I've ever seen him be about anything JRPG related, but he was pretty spot-on with all the complaints. He had me dying during some of the quips of the later part. I think more than anything, he's right about the copy-and-paste feel of portions of the game. The chapters for the Reactor 5 mission definitely suffered a bit from that. Though I felt, again, this was mostly made up for in the general breadth of location design.

I know this is shallow and dumb, but I don't dig that character design. The buzzcut and beefy frame doesn't quite jive with the Prince of Persia vibe. Gameplays looks pretty good for the time, though.

Yeah, I mean, I totally get Ma's complaints. I even agree with a good deal of them. I just felt the positives far outweighed that. I can also readily admit that nostalgia plays a large part in that, though.

I think there's definitely some room to open up the environment from an earlier standpoint where you can complete the sidequests at your own pace, yeah. Even if not, it was definitely one of the most fun chapters of the game.
