I'm interested in that Madoka Magical side story, and I caught a glimpse of that Darwin's Game concept that seems kinda interesting. But other than ongoing stuff, I don't really know what any of that is or whether k should be hype for it. I'll probably just take my opportunity to burn through Demon Slayer and a couple other series I've been looking to start up. I kinda want to watch The Promised Neverland, but part of me wants to get the manga experience instead.

MSG House Show Spoiler(Doesn't matter, but just in case):

Eh, I liked The Ascension when the shitty dude who used to date Charlotte was there. I always liked Viktor, but felt they never really clicked as a team. I honestly think had their been an actual tag division while they were champs, they wouldn't have been praised as much. Then again, maybe if they had actual competition, they would have been pushed to better matches.

AEW is off next week and the Homecoming show is on the 1st. Not sure about NXT, though.

[12/07/19] Weekly What Have You Been Playing?
Psycho666Soldier replied to Vic Boss's topic in Video Games
Rocking through Shenmue II now. Having the free time from both work and school this week has helped out. I've been stuck working on a paper for the most part since the late afternoon today, but I plan on putting in as many hours as possible tomorrow night. So far, I think I'm liking it more than the first one, but I have some gripes that I'm waiting to see how the rest of the game develops before making a full judgment on them. -
That's something I thought I'd never see. I didn't think there was enough love for RE: 3 to make it happen. Personally, I'd be more interested in a Code Veronica remake, but still pretty cool.

1.) :snes: Super Mario? World 2.) Hollow Knight (99%)? 3.) Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (100%) 4.) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? (200.6?%) 5.) Shenmue Finally beat this for the third or so time in my life. I started it quite a while ago when it first came out, didn't touch it for a few months, then basically blitzed through it in the last two weeks when I had free time to prepare for Shenmue III. This game still carries a lot of nostalgia for me, but I think the age really comes through on this game. The dialogue is pretty awful, both the writing and the acting, and while that's part of the charm, having started II now, I can already tell there's been a stark improvement. The controls were occasionally frustrating, but that's tank style for you. I also think the amount of times you're forced to wait for a whole day to pass is annoying. There are things to do, but not enough that you don't want to time skip sometimes. That said, I still love this game, and it was pretty revolutionary for it's time. I think I'll find myself appreciating II a lot more already from the few hours I played, but this game will always have a special place in my heart. It just doesn't really have much replay value the third time through. It feels a bit more like a slog. An mostly enjoyable slog, but a slog nonetheless.

Happy for all of them, especially Harper. They'll get more satisfaction elsewhere. Harper in particular could find himself in a great position outside WWE. And I think Sin Cara/Hunico has a lot to offer at least ring-wise. I don't think Ascension will do much of worth, though.

[AEW vs NXT] Wednesday Night War Week 10
Psycho666Soldier replied to Psycho666Soldier's topic in Wrestling
Hell of a live show. I had such a blast. I was actually super close for my main seats. Almost directly across from the entrance and only about 10 rows behind, just above the floor seats. Tickets were only 20 bucks, but I think that's because the long camera was right in front of us and got in the way of the action occasionally. It didn't detract from the experience at all. Haven't watched on TV, but I think the only bad part of the show was that Nightmare Collective bit. The execution was a bit forced, the crowd was mostly confused, and the crowd chanted, "What just happened?" at the end of it, which I assume was during the commercial break. The most confusing thing about that segment to me was the fact that they seemed to completely forget about Kris and Shida, and they both just...disappeared, with no real circumstances surrounding it. Other than that, the show was a blast. I see the broadcast had audio issues, but the crowd was hot as hell for the opening match and Rey Fenix. I think the best moment for me came before the main event. I had some friends from out of town who had farther back seats with a lot of empty spots, so I went to sit with them for the middle portion of the show. But I wanted to close for Moxley. Well, I started heading back to my seat for the main event, but a bunch of people were gathered around the entrance to my seating area. Turns out that was where Mox was making his entrance, so I got to watch him hype himself up in the hallway, then follow roughly behind him for his entrance. Fucking badass. I'll try to post pics/videos later -
Tonight's the show I'll be at. What a card planned so far, too: Dustin/Young Bucks vs. The Inner Circle(Sammy and PnP) Trent vs. Fenix Christopher Daniels vs. Pentagon, Jr. Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela Should be hype tonight. I'm excited to go to a big-time event that isn't WWE/NXT for the first time since Halloween Havoc 2000.

I've been trying to blaze through Shenmue the last few days since I just got my download code for Shenmue III. The idea is to finish II over the winter break so I can get down on the new one. -
Haven't finished the whole show yet, but this was actually a pretty "meh" episode of Dynamite for the first half.

About to throw in my picks for SS now since none of the predicted matches have happened yet. Adam Cole B1. n/a B2. n/a B3. Pipe B4. Baszler B5. 1 B6. 2 -

I'm actually gonna be at Takeover tonight. Not quite as hype a card as the last Takeover in Chicago, but I'm still pumped to finally see Finn in NXT. Plus, first Wargames match, so that's dope. My predictions will be up soon. -
Have you ever listened to Kendrick? Musically they're not quite similar, but they have the same general attitude. Both have some outside-the-box ideas and a deeper, more poetic content. You might like J Cole, too.

Well, Ma ended up getting it, soooo...

I like Tsukasa on his own well enough. Hyoga I think works as a generic threat, but he doesn't have a lot of depth past that. That said, I don't really think he needs to have much depth, just a threatening dude with a specialized spear that knows how to handle it better than anyone else. I'll agree on the rest, though. I don't think the rest of the enemies at this point are particularly interesting, but I think the scenarios coming up makes up for that when you have such a strong protagonist cast. Mild spoiler of buzzbomb's interest(Not heavily plot-related, but could imply certain conclusions)

I told you Chrome is great.

Yeah, this may have been the best episode so far. A lot of great gooks, decent surprises, well paved character arcs and angles that both have ramifications for the following week and future developments. They also really struck a hard balance on the wrestling:promo/angle time. Almost everything felt to be in the right doses.

[11/07/19] Weekly What Have You Been Listening To?
Psycho666Soldier replied to Vic Boss's topic in Music
Still been on a big hip-hop kick. Was listening to Czarface Meets Ghostface yesterday. It's a really good album with some great beats and clever lines, but I don't think it quite reaches the highs of previous efforts. I'm still holding out for the next Czarface "solo" album, aka the Czarface group with no special guests. I was revisiting some Death while looking for songs to do for my next transcription project. Was kind of skimming through Symbolic and forgot how good "Misanthrope" is. A couple time signature changes that are interesting, and just great riffing. For anyone not typically into Death Metal who can appreciate complex music, this specific song might not wet your whistle, but the entire Symbolic album is a musical journey. -
We definitely should.

In reading up about this, a Forbes article made an interesting point. Vince was 19 when the Jim Crow laws were abolished, so by the time he was an adult, those values were just baked into him. So yeah, like you said, it's not that he's anti-black or anything. He just doesn't realize/care that he exploits them.
