1.???? Pokemon Violet ?2?. :snes: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 3. Spyro? 2: Ripto's Rage 4. Octopath Traveler 5. Metroid II: Return of Samus 6. :ps1: Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssee 7. God of War (2018) 8. :ps1: Crash Bandicoot 9. Spider-Man Remastered 10. :ps1: Crash Bandicoot 2 (100%) 11. Final Fantasy XVI I actually beat Crash 2 a couple months ago and just forgot to post it: Finally finished XVI. Did all the sidequests and got all but one of the achievements I can reasonably get without grinding(which this game is not designed for) or playing New Game+, and while I mostly enjoyed the game, I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to play it again. Overall, it's a really good game that's held back from being great because of some design issues. I think other than scope, it tends to feel like FF7R ran so FF16 could jog brisquely. So, yeah. There are a lot of flaws. Especially with FF7R staring it right in the face doing mostly everything 16 did but better. And I see myself wanting to replay XV before this one to be honest. But as a brand new story and experience in an engrossing world that constantly drew me in, this was still a really good Final Fantasy. 8/10 God I hate copy/pasting from modern forums on mobile

I just need to read the last 4 chapters of Wild Strawberry and then I'll be caught up on all the current stuff I care to be caught up on, so I'll be blitzing some JoJo's soon. I expect you to finish before I even come close, though.

Chainsaw Man #141 Also, I can't recommend Martial Master Asumi enough. I think this has a lot of potential to become animated and have a good healthy run. The art is some of the best of what's being published right now, and the combat storytelling is excellent.

I really enjoyed seeing Denji hear how weird the church was and saying screw it. It's actually a good foil to what you were talking where it seemed like he was just going along with what he's told, where instead now he's thinking a bit more critically. Agreed on Beat & Motion. It was nice to see him still say something even if it wasn't exactly what he wanted to say. It felt like the message got across regardless. As for Shojo Null, I'm fully caught up now, and I kind of get the vibe the whole series is over-the-top lol. I also loved the Sakamoto #131

Seriously some of the saddest news. Right after Terry Funk, too. Even more of a shame that he never got his full due in WWE.

It's good to hear from you! I'm sorry about your sister and the complications your dad has been dealing with, but it sounds like a lot of things are looking up for you, so here's to nothing but awesome things in your near future!

Chainsaw Man I also just read the first chapter of Shojo Null and I'm IN

Akane-banashi #73 Haven't checked out Shojo Null yet, but it's on my list. Along with Wild Strawberry.

I didn't get very far. I think I got like 10 chapters in? They basically just fought the first stand user that attacks in Josuke's house and that's about as far as I got. Wasn't so much for lack of interest as I had just binged Stardust Crusaders hard and had a bit of burnout.

I finally tried out Martial Master Asumi. Seems like a better Neru(except I liked the art a tad better) plotwise. The art is great, the fights are engaging, and I really like the way they've built the protagonist. Also feels like I picked it up where the last chapter was properly setting up the rest of the series. So if you're interested, I think it's safe to say you'll know whether you like it after the first 7 chapters. Also, now that you've started Diamond is Unbreakable, maybe it's time I pick it back up?

Whoa. Was NOT expecting the end of the recent Sakamoto chapter!

Still catching up on some things, but I just finished up to he most recent Beat & Motion Akane-banashi has been wonderful. Seems like a strong moment of self discovery, but I'm really hoping she gets the victory. She deserves it. Also still been liking Ichinose Family, but I feel the execution of the last 2 chapters was a bit rushed/sloppy, so it definitely made for a narrative dissonance with where they expect us to be emotionally. I'm still into the mystery surrounding his parents and what they do/don't know/what happened with the accident. I'm also super hype for what come next in Sakamoto Days. Also, that last Chainsaw Man chapter? That shit was wild and was probably one of the best chapters they've had in a while. Great work. Feels like the anime could really rock with that part.

Caught up. Agree with dr. b, this was a rad chapter for art. You can tell Endo had some of his actions roots to let fly this chapter, both in the style and the storytelling behind it.

Yeah, I'm like...I dunno, halfway through it? I got to the point where the game opens up and have done like 3 main missions since then? Not sure how much is left for me but I've probably put in about 35-40 hours. Storywise it's easily in the top 3-5 so far from where I'm at. I agree that the combat is kinda lacking a bit. Like it's good, but I feel like they nailed it better with the FF7 Remake. The lack of a true party dynamic/switching between characters takes away some of the magic for me. Even beyond that, I've been loving it so far.

I used mine on Super Mario Odyssey

Yeah, I've been enjoying this story I am a bit disappointed that the chapters seem to be getting smaller, same as Chainsaw Man. If we gotta wait every couple weeks, I would hope we could get at least 24-30 pages. But also I know this shit is tiring and I think Endo does most of the work, so as long as it's quality, I'll still be reading. At least it's not like My Hero Academia where they're clearly just trying to milk the ending for as many weeks as they can get

I don't know how I missed the Otoboke Beaver post. Their stuff is great. Saw them here in Chicago a few months back and their crowd control is amazing. One of the better shows I've been to. Also love that Domi & JD Beck album. The sameyness is a thing, but when I enjoy it so much, it's just really cool to get lost in the vibe of the album. Definitely excited to see what else they have in the pipeline for later albums. Also just a lot of cool guest features.

Definitely enjoyed the last two chapters of Chainsaw Man, even if it feels a bit random at the moment.

Reminder to reply here once I catch up because I've slacked the last two weeks. Have you read Tenmaku Cinema? I didn't think I'd be a big fan at first, but it's been a pretty enjoyable follow so far.

Happy Birthday MT! Doing anything cool or getting any cool goodies?

1.???? Pokemon Violet ?2?. :snes: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 3. Spyro? 2: Ripto's Rage 4. Octopath Traveler 5. Metroid II: Return of Samus 6. :ps1: Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssee 7. God of War (2018) 8. :ps1: Crash Bandicoot 9. Spider-Man Remastered Crash Bandicoot is another game I started playing with my partner. We just went through and beat it as is. I think I'll slowly work on getting all the gems, but surviving some of those stages by getting all the boxes and not dying sounds like torture, so happy to count this as completion. Just finished Spider-Man yesterday. 100% the main game and got the platinum trophy. Really fun game that feels like a natural evolution of Spider-Man 2 way back in the 2000s. Webslinging was superb, and I had a lot of fun finding different ways to travel by trying to reach the benchmarks. I liked the greater crime varieties, and the combat was pretty fluid. The story was really well done, perfect blending comic book canon with an altered history where not ALL major events have happened yet. I liked the unique turns they took, and unlike the previous games, they did a great job of making you feel like Peter Parker as well as Spider-Man. I think the boss battles could have been a bit harder and/or more dynamic, because as is they were just glorified versions of the usual beat-em-up brawls with grunts, but there were still some cool moments. The MJ missions were mostly annoying until the very last one, though. Could have done without. Story Spoilers At some point I'll play the DLC and go for the Remastered specific trophies, but not sure I'll ever get around to a New Game+. At this point I'm ready to give Miles Morales a spin and get hyped for Spider-Man 2.

More Part-Timer means I need to finally sit down and finish the first season and catch up. Not a lot here that I'm really following or familiar with so I'll probably do the usual of deciding if I want to watch any of the shows you're all talking about. I'm excited for the Sand Land adaptation, though
