    Completed Games (2021)

This... is pretty much in line with how I expect things to go with the game for me... I haven't had a chance to play it yet though. (PC port doesn't come out until July, boooooooooooooo).
  2. Yo, that looks downright delectable. ? Getting my second shot tomorrow. Hoping it doesn't kick my ass as much as it does a lot of people I've spoken with. ? I do somewhat wonder if reopening is being a bit rushed, though... like, it's only very recently they teenagers have been cleared for vaccination, at least in America, and to my knowledge children are almost universally unvaccinated. While younger folks are much less likely to outright die from the virus, they do still seem to be prone to the cardiovascular issues that can result from infection, among other things. If we've got everything opened up, that's a lot of potential collateral damage among our nation's youth. ?
  3. Yeahhh, as much as I enjoy the show I gotta say, Haruhi as a character is pretty damn well beyond deplorable in my eyes. ? Did you watch the movie, as well? If not, I highly recommend it.

I may end up doing just that in the near future.
  5. Slower and atmospheric is always a good combination in my book. I'll be taking a look! o/

    Marvel General

Fair point, that. I hadn't even heard of Guardians of the Galaxy prior to the movie coming out, tbh. Though I wasn't super fond of GoG2 admittedly. I don't really know enough about Eternals to have any expectation one way or another, but I will say that if nothing else the Shang Chi trailer impressed me a lot more than I expected. Speaking of Iron Man being b-list... I confess that when the Iron Man movie first came out, I kind of brushed it off without even seeing the trailer until my dad basically forced me to watch it, being like "no, seriously, you need to see this" Honestly I never really cared about Marvel heroes, other than Spiderman, prior to the MCU. My nerd cred, it is in tatters.
  7. I think one of the main draw for me has been the fairly self aware way it pokes fun at the genre now and then, really. Though with that said I've been more amused by all of the main character's monologues than I expected to be, lol. I can definitely see why it might drag on a bit too much for a lot of folks though. I might have to do this myself at some point... been a loooooong time since I've seen Claymore. Endless 8 was... frustrating to me. ;_; Speaking of Haruhi, I need to rewatch Disappearance at some point. I haven't! I should probably add this to my list of things to look into.

@MT I'm sorry you had to deal with that, transphobes are honestly the fucking worst and have no real value outside of being loaded into, and shot out of trebuches for fun and profit. Even at the best of times, having to deal with that sort of harassment and bullshit is exhausting at the very least. Honestly, the sheer amount of casual transphobia, homophobia, racism, misogyny, etc that's on display on internet makes finding safe, bullshit-free communities incredibly difficult, unfortunately. That said, preemptive congrats on hitting two years on HRT! That's quite the milestone.

    Hi

Honestly, even before they jacked up the rent it probably wasn't the most financially responsible place for us to get, but...... it was just too tempting. ? Honestly I miss being able to go down there myself, as well. While I didn't really like living up around there, I was looking forward to still being able to visit the shops and such somewhat regularly, until covid hit. Likewise with a lot of the places in Kent that I used to haunt regularly ;_; I never actually got around to trying out Maekawa, though I always meant to get over to it at some point or another. :T Thank you
  10. I started watching Ascendance of a Bookworm recently and... contrary to my expections, am really enjoying it. I don't typically like isekai, at all*, but this has been downright delightful so far. (* I think just this and So I'm a Spider, So What? tbh ^^; )

    Hi

Hullo, old person! And yes, I seem to be a recurring problem at this point. :0 I have been blesseded I could do with a bit of good luck atm. ^^; Aw heck, it's fine. I only lived in the city itself for about a year and a half, truthfully - apparently we came in right prior to one of the major rent bumps, since our landlords tried to increase our apartment's rent by around $800/month after our first year which was a bit of a deal killer. Our place was right on top of the Seattle Uwajimaya, which was pretty damn convenient... the apartment itself wasn't particularly awe inspiring, but the location made up for it. Other than that we mostly were in downtown Kent (couple blocks from an AMAZING cajun grocery store), and briefly in Tacoma. It wasn't all bad, but honestly I'm a Portland gal through and through. I need my casual weirdness, and unicyclists with flaming bagpipes that just happen to be cosplaying Scottish Darth Vader. I -love- Lost Lake. It's incredibly beautiful and super chill... if anything, a bit too chill due to being pretty much right at the base of Mt Hood... it gets cold as fuck at night, even in the middle of summer, to the point that it's on my RV only list due to how much my teeth end up chattering whenever I try to tent it. Other than that, while it's not the most out-there or incredible place on the planet, there's a decent size state park right outside of Newport, OR that I have a lot of incredibly fond memories of. My parents used to take me camping there as a pretty much yearly thing, with a stop at the local aquarium as part of the trips which was always delightful. I've actually recently convinced my wife to give camping a try and will be taking her there next month for her inaugural camping trip, which I'm looking forward to... and it'll be my first opportunity to do some camping in about six years now, which makes it all the better. But yeah, I love me some of that outside stuff. Hiking, boating, and fishing are all things I enjoy as well, though the latter only when I can leave the cleaning to someone else. :T

Every time I see the Indie General thread, I have a brief moment in which I'm like "oh shit, an indie gaming thread that's so relevant to my interests that it physically hurts*" followed by another moment in which I just sort of blink owlishly for a second or two while remembering that it's for indie wrestling. I'm typically left feeling equal parts sheepish and amused. (* maybe a slight exaggeration, but yanno) Also I am completely and utterly exhausted due to back to back nights of downright awful sleep. x_x

At this point, if Marvel manages to make a Fantastic Four movie that is actually outright good, I'll believe them capable of damn near anything. Their recent shows were all better than I expected, so I've got some hope.

    Pet Time Party

I love her eyes, omg. I'm currently petless, but am hoping to join the cat crew in a year, maybe. I've been petless for way too long in my life at this point. ;_; Just need to kitten-proof the apartment a bit beforehand and let certain life-stuff settle a bit.
