Hair color is what was throwing me off. She had hair in the comics (once upon a time), but it was a blue/black color that I think could have worked for this even with the nicer styling.

So it seems there was a hidden bit in the epilogue mission. Off to the side of the starting area you can find a friendly Harpy with a blue glowing eye instead of the usual red which some people think could be the one from Nessus we saw from one of the Exotic missions, however it's making noises that translate from morse code as "Assistant", so some people are thinking it's Asher Mir trying to communicate through it (or that is IS Asher I guess).

Yeah, that part was really cool. Was not expecting that. Bucky's reaction was great too. XD

12.) Vampire: The Masquerade - Out for Blood The is the 2nd of 3 text adventure games that are being put out for VtM. This one has you playing as a human in a relatively typical "vampire in a small town" story that gave me some major Salem's Lot vibes, but was REALLY well put together. The branching narratives seem really diverse and there were some interesting options and endings available. Liked it a lot more than I was expecting considering you typically play the vampire in this setting and not the human. Looking forward to the 3rd one. 13.) Death's Door Fantastic game. Felt like an old Legend of Zelda game in terms of magic abilities (bow and arrow, fire, bombs, chain shot to cross gabs), exploration and feel, but with a light Souls-like aspect with dodging being super important and how respawning/saving worked. Story was straight forward, but interesting and the characters and general feel of the game were full of charm and humor. Felt pretty worthwhile for a $20 game.

lol, yeah. I'd like to see some wild ones eventually. Sounded like they were being pretty conservative with their initial pitches. I remember reading an article that talked about one of the rejected ones basically being "Thor, but it's Jane Foster!" and they were just like "... um, no. That's already the plot of an upcoming movie..." Peggy Carter getting the serum instead of Steve felt like playing it a bit safe too, but it was fun for a first go. Hoping we'll see some interesting divergence with T'Challa in Peter Quill's place, because that's the kind of thing I was not expecting when this was announced.

I really liked it. It was a fun watch. Looking forward to seeing more for sure. Glad they were able to get at least some original cast members for their roles too. Really hoping that will include Michael Rooker. Will be nice to hear Chadwick Boseman one last time too.

Really interested in where it's going from here.

Yep. Bonus fun fact, Robert Patrick (played the T-1000 in Terminator 2) is going to play his father. Kind of wonder if there will be cameo's from any of the other characters in the movie.

Probably my favorite of the DC movies for sure. Everything about it was great. Even with Idris Elba/Bloodsport being damn near a 1:1 stand in for Will Smith/Deadshot, it showed what the first movie SHOULD have been like in that regard. Side note, I watched an interview with Gunn, Cena and Robbie and apparently James Gunn got bored during the pandemic while he was editing the movie and wrote and out the scripts for a full season of a Peacemaker TV show and that's going to be a thing on HBO Max (he's the director for most of the episodes as well). Filming wrapped for it last month and is expected to premiere early next year, so there's that to look forward to I guess. XD

Self isolation, social distancing, sheltering in place, whatever else you call it
Mera'din replied to dr. b's topic in General Insanity
Yeah, we're planning to prepare as much as possible, but we also have the hang up of needing to have a 2 year old with us. We were planning on being gone for the weekend (ours is about 3 hours away from where we live) and we can't leave her gone that long. Even at the height of the lockdown, masks everywhere, social distancing in force, it was nearly impossible to keep people the fuck away from her because "oh look at the cute baby". Gonna have to carry a stick or something. Do the Cartman thing. -

I'm so worried about our Ren Fest. The wife and I go every year and even got married there, and this being our 5th anniversary, we really don't want to miss it, but I can only imagine how bad it will be with it not happening last year. X_x We're going to miss opening weekend (which is usually the busiest other than labor day weekend) since we'll be on vacation away when it happens so probably gonna see how things went for that and go from there I guess. -
Yeah, I kind of wonder if that wasn't filmed really last minute or something or he had some other obligation so they had to just kind of slap something on him. XD
-
The problem is, the explanation was stupid though. It felt like there was no pay off. The whole movie just felt like Nolan trying to one up Inception, and being extra pretentious while doing it. There was some really interesting cinematography and some fun action bits, but mostly I spent the whole movie being annoyed.

On the plus side too, in a recent interview, Hiddleston said he would absolutely keep playing Loki as long as they need him for it, so they can go as long as they want with him I guess. XD

Best comment I saw when someone asked how they would even check was "The check is if you're willing to even enter the restaurant at this point." -

I saw an article about that restaurant. Saw the location and immediately thought of you. I thought the area I live in was bad. X_x -
Think you're still missing the mark there. At the latest, boomers were born in the early 60s and were well into their 20s when this stuff started releasing (once again, on the absolute youngest end of the spectrum). It's our end of the Millennial generation, and the Gen Xers that would have watched the show originally. Most of the bitching probably coming from those two demographics as well despite it being made by one of the people that basically DEFINED Gen X. All generations have their own brand of garbage people, and this is where ours shows through usually. XD Also, not sure how I feel about a complete break from the original, but She-Ra sounds pretty decent. Will have to give it a watch at some point. They're supposed to be doing that with He-Man too (more kid/family friendly aimed version) after this show I believe.
-
I never actually got around to watching the new She-ra (don't really remember much about the original and the animation style put me off too much). What were people mad about with that one? We hopefully won't have to wait too long for Part 2. When they split a season in 2 like that, there's usually only 2-3 months between.
-
Yeah. People bitching about this are basically just giant man-babies who think their favorite saturday morning toy commercial from the 80s should never change. The twist took me off guard, especially considering the trailers for it, but I really liked it. It feels like it should have been the last episode of the series when it ended. I'm guessing the main reason most people are mad is (episode 2 spoiler sort of) My only complaint is the way the episode 2 picks up, it almost feels less impactful because you don't get a proper sense of time passage. I just finished all of it. I know there's a Part 2 on the way, but that was an ABOSOLUTE dick way to end it. (spoiler for last episode) I love the animation quality in this too. Also great voice cast. Those classic corny jokes. It was all around an interesting watch. People that are seriously mad at this need to take the stick out of their ass.

Few songs I've been listening to almost non stop the past few weeks: Also pretty much everything else I come across by Maneskin. Don't think I've heard a song I don't like yet. Thank you, Eurovision.

11.) Her Story Interesting little FMV style game where you're watching clips from the interrogation of a woman about her husband's murder. The one was less "game" than others I've played outside of having to pick up keywords from what you watch to be able to find more clips but there's no real "win condition" and it just kind of ends. Some interesting twists in the story though that kept me interested/intrigued the whole time. Have had the game sitting around for a while and finally decided to play it since this dev has another game coming out soon that looked interesting.

I think I might actually want one of these. I have a bunch of indie games and some VN's that I find difficult to get into at my computer but would be absolutely perfect for something like this. The thing sounds like you can do basically whatever the hell you want with it too based on the interview I watched. Including but not limited to loading it up with Windows so you can use it for Gamepass too if you really want.

Yeah, What If...? Is coming next month, which seems pretty apt considering how this ended. Everything is branching out into alt. timeliness so let's see some of the crazier ones before settling back in to the main stuff. I'm assuming the next Spider-Man (maybe, based on some of the rumors surrounding it), Dr. Strange and Ant-man will all at least touch on the fallout from this as well in some way or another. Presumably, Hawkeye will at least partly spinoff from the Black Widow after credit scene. Interested to see where some of this heading.
