I think the fact that they were doing this was announced about a month ago at least, but I don't recall if anyone said. They got the original cast back to do the Japanese dub for the show, which is pretty cool. I can't stand watching live action dubs of stuff so probably won't try to watch it that way, but it's another good sign showing they cared about what they were doing with this at least:

Came in here to say basically the same thing though I haven't played any of them at all. XD Closest thing I've played to a Souls game was Jedi Fallen Order, and the demo for that Final Fantasy Origins thing. I like the general vibe this gives off though and since it has a co-op mode I csn at least fail miserably with someone else. Might actually get this.

Yeah, there's an upgrade to slow the heat increase, as well as a "quick reload" one where when it overheats you hit the button at the right time and it instantly refreshes (and does a good chunk of damage I believe). I'm enjoying it so far. The story is really fun, and the interactions between characters are exactly what I was hoping for. The combat DOES feel a little clunky, but isn't awful and with some of the upgrades and other abilities it may smoothen out a bit.

Yeah, it's really hard to see past the faces with this even though they seem to have got the feel down pretty well. The action sequences they showed looked like they could have been straight from the games so they're doing something right at least.

I loved it. It was fun, and the presentation was interesting. I'm actually starting to look forward to it.

That definitely made up for the way the last few felt a bit. Pulled it all together which was nice to see. Definitely want to see them start getting a little more "out there" on the base level of it though. Though I did enjoy the bit in the last one where Ultron basically full on became Galactus. That was a nice touch. I get that this is supposed to revolve around the MCU stuff, but I want to see more things like that where it's at least a nod to a non-movie character. This is the place where they can literally do whatever the hell they want. They should have fun with it.

Doom Patrol Season 3 has been great so far. Luckily, I finished Season 2 just as it started releasing because the ending for that season was bullshit. XD

Wonder if Watcher is going to pull a bunch of the featured characters to stop him or something. Since he was talking to the alternate Strange. Grab Captain Carter and some others and do a big multi-verse Avengers thing or something.

16.) Cyberpunk 2077 Finally finished it. Got most trophies. Will wrap those up eventually when the PS5 version finally drops. Game ran pretty well on the PS5. No major issues when it launched outside of the bugged quests and stuff which they fixed pretty quickly. It wasn't terrible. Had some really good quests to it, but mostly playing it just felt like there were a LOT of missed opportunities. Game probably could have used another year (maybe even 2) of work to make it really shine. Mostly lots of little things. Still enjoyed it overall though and definitely got my money's worth out of it (Think I clocked 150 hours to do everything). It just definitely had so much potential it didn't live up to.

That one was a lot of fun. Lots of great moments. Really hope they revisit that ending though. Because it's kind of fucked up to go "OH BY THE WAY, CHECK THIS SHIT OUT" and then never talk about it ever again.

They managed well enough with the first few, but the last two absolutely needed more time. The trail off/ride into the sunset style endings just aren't doing them any favors. On a side note, the zombie one was the first time in the (technically) MCU that Uncle Ben has ever been mentioned I think. XD
-
The last two honestly annoyed me a bit because they felt like they had no conclusions at all. The others felt well rounded. This and the zombie one were both just "LOOK AT ALL THE THINGS HAPPENING. It's not done yet, but BYEEEE." Like they were missing at least 5 min. off the end or something.

No, because in general I don't read Hawkeye period and have never wanted to. I really don't find the character interesting. I'll take your word for it though and be that much more interested.
-
This seems fun. I've never been a huge Hawkeye fan and this is probably the upcoming show I was least enthusiastic about, but it looks like it has some potential.
-
Guessing there will be a lot of weird mind-fuck type stuff in this that should at least keep it interesting. It's definitely the kind of thing that if it had never come out it would have been fine, but it seems like they're doing something interesting so I'll watch it.

15.) Twelve Minutes Well that was... a game. This was honestly a really intriguing looking game and I have been looking forward to it for some time. You probably saw a trailer for it at some point if you watched any game shows the past year or two. Takes place in a single apartment, top down view, characters voiced by Daisy Riddley, James McAvoy and Willem Defoe about a guy stuck in a time loop trying to figure out what's happening. It starts off really strong. Lots of mystery, lots to figure out, but you quickly get ahead of the narrative a bit and the game expects you to do some very specific things on occasion to make meaningful progress in a given loop which eventually leads to it being a bit tedious (luckily you can skip through conversations and such generally). Was still relatively enjoyable to get thrings progressed and find out more. And then it goes in for the BIG twist at the end and it's just... WTF. It still may have been salvageable, but the actual ending is just garbage. Absolute garbage. It doesn't explain what's going on, why anything happened and a number of other things. There are a few different endings, and I saw a couple, but the "real" ending (I guess?) completely resets the progress and I just can't be fucking bothered to deal with this shit again to find out for sure. There were some really good ideas in this game, and the voice acting was pretty good but it it really flubbed the landing it feels like and took what could have been a pretty solid game that had a few hitches, into an absolute mess that felt kind of disappointing overall. Might be worth dicking around with if you can get it for under $10 (maybe closer to $5).
-
Yeah, that one was really interesting.
-
Yep. It's been that since the series existed. Even in in-game terms, that's literally been everything since the beginning of existence basically. The Gardener vs the Winnower, Light vs. Darkness, etc. Kind of expecting some sort of "basically Darkness, but by another name" type shit, but maybe they'll surprise us.

14.) Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption First VtM game ever made, back in like 2000. Never got a chance to play it as my old computer just would NOT run it properly for whatever weird ass reason. New one ran it fine though. Combat was pretty clunky and really unpleasant a lot of the time and the story dialogue was super cheesy (which is to be expected from a game this old), but overall it was a good story that had a LOT of depth and thought put into it from the world building side of things. I can see why people liked it so much. It has a shitty multiplayer mode as well, because apparently the expectation from Activision was that they'd be able to compete with Diablo 2.
-
Really liked a lot of what they talked about. They've been building to this story since Forsaken, so it's nice to see some of it starting to play out. Wish I was able to play the new season right away since that's something I've been waiting on for a long time too story-wise, but I'm on vacation and won't be home until late Saturday night, so I have to wait a bit. Also curious about what they'll do once the whole "Light vs Darkness" thing is wrapped up. Because that's kind of just been... what Destiny is. It's been the core of the story since the beginning. Guess we'll see in a few years. XD

Self isolation, social distancing, sheltering in place, whatever else you call it

Yeah, I've been seeing stuff about it. The Poison control hotline thing has been seeing MASSIVE spikes in calls from people taking the stuff. Like, what the actual fuck. In other news, the schools in our district are not requiring masks (not banned outright like some of our idiot states), but there's also NO option for online learning. My oldest two are vaccinated now, but my 8 year old can't get it. Going to have all 3 wear masks just to be safe with the way things are progressing with the new variants, but this is just exhausting at this point. Saw there was a school somewhere that got around their state ban by making masks a part of the schools dress code. And in yet other places, we have mobs threatening school board members when they get out of meetings relating to Covid precautions. I just can't anymore. -_- -
I heard they might do that. Wonder if that's going to fuck over the "use all your ammo and it will give you a small amount of ammo for each weapon" thing you could do. I'm guessing yes. Because leave it to Bungie to somehow turn giving infinite ammo on a weapon slot into a nerf.

New Eternal's trailer. Get a good look as some Celestials too.
