Finally got around to finishing Zack Snyder's Justice League. I ended up watching it in parts, and overall it's definitely better than the first version, although that's not saying a whole lot. The scene with Leto's Joker was...fine, I guess? The version he portrays in this is 1000x better than the one in Suicide Squad, but he's still not doing the Joker justice. Granted, it's only a few minutes.

Not going to add this to my official list, but I beat Doom 64 with cheating on the end boss. I got through everything else but that without cheats. The boss was ridiculously overpowered, with rockets that fly as fast if not faster than you can run and they home in on you, and another flame attack that will knock you into the air and kill your momentum, so you can get gangbanged by the rockets. There were a few places to hide, but even if I managed to round a corner between me and one of the many rockets, the splash damage would kill me. I was enjoying the game up until that point.

I'm sad they killed off Batroc, it was nice having a lower level villain around.

Pretty good finale, wrapped things up and left things open for a season 2. Seeing Sam in his full Captain America suit took a while to grow on me, but I liked it for the most part. Only thing I could've done without is the part that comes up from the shoulders and behind his head. I originally thought it all looked a bit bulky, but then the more I looked at it, the more it reminded me of Rogers' suit in Winter Soldier, but with different colors. Walker redeemed himself a bit there, abandoning his revenge quest to save the people in that armored truck. He seemed to have calmed down since the hearing that stripped him of the Captain America title. It was funny to see his shield get beat up so easily. It just sounded like garbage. When Batroc showed up to shoot the smoke grenades down, I was thinking we'd get a Power Broker reveal, but nope. Sharon being the Broker isn't a huge shock, they pretty much set it up and made it obvious. I'm definitely looking forward to a potential second season. Hell, they could even give Sam his own movie and i'd be down for that too.

The movie was okay, nothing special. Go in with low expectations and you'll be fine. Fights were alright, fatalities were awesome. Acting is bad, plot is ok. They brought in some characters I didn't expect. Them trying to shoehorn lines from the game (flawless victory, fatality) etc. was fucking dumb too. At least the few times they did it in the original MK movie it made slightly more sense (I only really remember Shang Tsung saying it after one of the fights). They definitely leave things open for a sequel, but I can't say I'm interested. Kano was the highlight for me, but I can see how he can be considered a bit much.

In this week's TWAB, they outline the new transmog system, with three different currencies for some odd reason.

Patton Oswalt as M.O.D.O.K is hilarious.

I imagine Activision wanted Overwatch 2 out faster than Jeff did.

I'm not hearing good things, I guess it's been out in Europe for a few days now. Seeing people say that the fight scenes aren't well shot, and have too many cuts. ?

Jeff Kaplan leaving the Overwatch team Bit of a bummer.

I expect the action will be awesome (this first fight scene is pretty great) but outside of that, i'm not expecting much. I'll still watch it, though.

From what I understand, that was an MLB decision.

Got my fingers crossed for a Sir Ben Kingsley cameo

That fight between Bucky, Sam and Fake Cap was super awesome, surprised to see them break Walker's arm just to get the shield back from him. I really ove the times in the MCU where people use their powers/abilities for little things. Back in Iron Man 1, I remember Tony using the foot jets to lift him up off the ground just slightly in order to give a jumping punch a little more weight/momentum to it. Seeing Sam do something similar with his jetpack for that backflip kick made me smile. I didn't recognize the name of Julia Louis Dreyfus' character, I was originally thinking she may have been Madame Hydra (Edit: She apparently takes the moniker of Madame Hydra at some point, but she's not the first?), but I don't think the name she gave was the same. Interesting to see Zemo get taken back by the Wakandans, not sure why he's gonna be on the Raft though, seems like that'd be much easier for someone to break him out of than anywhere in Wakanda itself. That scene with Sharon talking to Batroc on the phone has me thinking she actually is the Power Broker, but if she isn't I see whomever it is potentially getting revealed in a post credits scene after the final episode. I wonder who's side she's actually on in this, considering where Batroc showed up later in the episode. It seems weird for her to help arm Karli and her people. Seeing Sam practice with the shield was super cool too, I think this may be the first time i've ever seen the shield not thrown perfectly. I can't imagine how that thing actually works, it just seems to magnetize itself back to whomever's throwing it, regardless of the angle. I was originally thinking the case that Bucky brought back to Sam would've been new, vibranium laced wings, but since it wasn't really opened until the end of the episode, i'm thinking it's his new costume as well. I'm wondering if we'll see Walker back again in the final episode, i'm not really sure where he fits in at the moment. I haven't heard anything about them starting a US Agent series or anything like that, so i'm not sure where he goes from here. Obviously he goes to visit Julia Louis Dreyfus' character, but will they show that in this, or save it for something down the line? Edit: There IS a mid-credits scene in this one. It's Walker putting together a new shield.

Lots of releases Man, outside of NXT they really fucked up by not using Joe more often. Dude can go in the ring and was a great promo. I know he was a bit injury prone, but anywhere else would be super lucky to have him.

Seems like Destiny crossed with The Division. This is from the people that made Bulletstorm back in the 360/PS3 era. And today there was a good 20 minute long video showcasing some gameplay, and going into one of the classes. (skip to about 22:10 in this video)

I've been going through Doom 64 a level at a time or so. Turns out Doom is a fun game, who knew?

Bug causes players' inventory to be wiped Wow. I hear this has been fixed so it shouldn't happen again, but for people that already lost their stuff, they may be fucked.

I heard most of night 2 was a shitshow, as was tonight's Raw. I didn't bother to watch anything outside of Cesaro/Rollins, only because I heard who won and wanted to hear/see the reaction he got from fans. Also, hearing Hogan get booed was awesome. Fuck the Hulk Hogan forever.[/sheikie baby]

Rewatched Galaxy Quest with the bf, he'd never seen it before. It still holds up

Glad we got to see the last of Bucky's de-programming in Wakanda, his reaction when he realizes he's finally free was amazing to watch. It was also super interesting to see the Dora Milaje just completely take his arm off. I didn't know what she was doing until it fell off, but it makes perfect sense that they would know how to take it off. I think this may be the first time we've really seen them in action outside of a scene or two in Black Panther. Glad to see they got Walker taking the serum in this episode, I guess this sets him up as the "villain" for the rest of the series, although I gotta wonder what Sharon is up to. Fake Cap killing that one guy while he lie there defenseless is gonna stick with me for a bit, too.
