I just saw on Chris Bey's Twitter account (the guy that went up against Jungle Boy) and he said its been 5 years since he started going to wrestling school. If he's as good as he looked last night in 5 years time, the indie scene will be alright. There's going to be a lot of people at BOLA this week that I won't recognize, so i'm interested in checking them out for the first time.

Melissa Santos is even sexier in person. Just got back from Bar Wrestling, where Jungle Boy, Rick Knox, Peter Avalon, Scorpio Sky and someone else I can't remember had their final indie matches for that promotion. I left before the main event because it was a four way tag match that would've been a bunch of chaos I couldn't really see. That, and my back was kinda killing me. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and will definitely go back at some point. Jungle Boy fought someone named Chris Bey. The match was a great way to start off the show. Gentleman Jervis had a match with someone called the Man Scout (basically an adult in a Boy Scout uniform, complete with Boy Scout handbook). That match was super entertaining. At one point a tent was thrown into the ring fully assembled. Some point after that, a bear entered the ring and attacked everyone. They went to hide in the tent, but the bear went after them, and it was a pretty hilarious exchange, very cartoony. Probably my favorite match of the night. During intermission, Jarvis came ringside to talk, pose for photos, and hug everyone. Joey Ryan was up in a four way match with three people I hadn't heard of, and I can't remember their names at this point, sadly. As you'd expect from a Joey Ryan match, there was a lot of dick touching, close calls with crotch lollipops, and all around sleaziness. At one point he threw one of the lollipops into the crowd, and it landed probably two seats away from where I was standing. Way too close for comfort. There was a tag match between two teams I hadn't seen before, one was a lucha style team whose name escapes me, the other team was (I believe) called the Rock Ness Monsters? All I know for sure is one dude looked like 80s comedian Gallagher. Was pretty good, lot of good lucha things, for sure. The other match I somewhat saw was between someone named Jack Atlas (I think), and Darin Corbin (I think...it's hard to hear names), I say somewhat because it was the first match post-intermission, and more tall people had gotten in my way. There were a couple high flying moves to the outside done real close to where I was, which was a cool sight to see. For 20 bucks, I sure got my money's worth, even if I did skip out on the main event. Next time I know to either stand up close to the ring, or get a few rows back in the seats so I can see everything. Edit: I fucked up some of the names, here's the card (with results in case anyone knows of a way to watch Bar Wrestling shows after the fact) Chris Bey over Jungle Boy. RockNES Monsters (Yuma & BHK) over Los Luchas (Zokre & Phoenix Star). Gentleman Jervis over Man Scout Jake Manning. Heather Monroe over Darin Corbin, Joey Ryan, and Arik Cannon. Jake Atlas over Dom Kubrick.

1. AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake) 1.5. Spelunky (Daily Adventure) 2. Mortal Kombat 11 3. Cadence of Hyrule 4a. Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (Bad Ending) 4b. Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (Good Ending) 5. (NES) The Legend Of Zelda 6. (GBA) The Legend Of Zelda: Minish Cap 7. Control Once I got a few powers you don't get during the main mission (one critical one, which they really should have put in the main pathway through the game) it got a bit easier, but the shooting never really felt right, especially with headshots. There's a section of the game that's music related that was pretty fucking awesome. There's still a bunch of stuff I haven't unlocked, but I don't know if i'm gonna go back in and get any of it.

I'm excited to see what my win GIF is again -
Why they can't do a similar thing for others that don't have English as their first language is beyond me.

There's also this 49 minute-ish video from TGS, but unfortunately it's all in Japanese for the moment. You can turn on auto-translated subtitles, but I can't imagine they're any good.

This Week At Bungie Seems like they're going to finally start balancing weapons differently between PvE and PvP.

Still struggling to get through Control. I feel like that game is doing everything in its power to make me not like it.

What was the system/game of choice that really got you into games? I don't honestly know what started it. I know we had an Atari 800, but I don't remember if we had anything before that. I'd say it wasn't until my mom bought my dad a NES for his birthday, when I was 5, that I really, REALLY got into games. I doubt there was a specific game either, but I do remember coming home from the store with a copy of Wrecking Crew and playing that with my parents.

I've beaten it before, but not in a long while.

Done a few matches with the new role queue now that it's in regular quick play and it's not that bad. I didn't realize you'd be able to pick more than one group at a time to queue up for. I have had one instance of queue-ing up for a tank in one game, leaving that game and re-queue-ing up for everything but tank and still got put in the tank category for some reason. Edit: I see what happened now. When I re-queued it didn't de-select tank.
