I mean... JJ Abrahams is great at starting things but not finishing then and Rian Johnson can't write a linear sentence but give him an entire story and he'll craft something unique. Putting the two of them together in a trilogy and giving JJ the finale was always gonna be a disaster I don't feel the trilogy was as bad as it almost SHOULD have been. Most of TFA was great, the last half of TLJ was incredible (come @ me bro), and ROS works if you view it as, I dunno, "Twitch Plays: Star Wars" or something. A coherent trilogy, it is not. But then that's the case with most trilogies (Alien, Terminator, the Prequels) really, if we're being honest. Relativity bias is causing the critical world to call for blood. Give it a few years and we'll all probably agree that these were fine movies.

I am HYPED as fuck. Getting up early tomorrow for Day 1, watching the full thing, drinking whisky at 8am! Gonna watch half of Day 2 live and the rest later. On high alert for spoilers Day 2. Considering buying NJPW World for it. @Death Rider Mox any suggestions of shows I should catch to make my month worthwhile? I haven't watched dick all since last WK basically.

I loved it, but I can totally accept the low rating. Major reason seems to be "it's built on a shaky foundation to begin with, watch it a second time and it all falls apart".

I almost word-for-word agree with what MT posted in the other topic, except: 1) Leia And 2) I just generally don't need that much explaining, so I enjoyed it more. 8.5/10 for me, buzzing to see it again Other than that, word-for-word. The "unearned moment" was hands down the worst part. Hands down. Nobody in the cinema agreed with it.

So who is all in?

This is definitely the period of time where AEW has stopped riding the feelgood wave and now has to REALLY produce. It was inevitable.

But on the other hand, the Nationals winning was pretty damn boring. Of all the World Series I've watched, this was one. Totally unremarkable besides the fact of the away wins imo.

It wasn't what I was expecting, in a bad way tbh. The characters, except Sam, are obnoxious as fuck. The tutorial is dumb. They have you blindly do something, THEN explain it. But in a way your character would have already known like, years ago... Also the UI is so ott with blinking and strobing and... fuck, I was expecting pure atmosphere and minimalistic handhold. Instead it's like fucking MURRICA!! MURRICA!!!! MURRICA!!!!!! the only thing I can relate to is when Sam tells everyone else to gtfo already. Once you get out of the cutscenes and story....the world is amazing. Gameplay is amazing. Controls are amazing. Atmosphere is amazing. The soft-online element is amazing. It can really go places. Given a year and support, the online aspect could see a real community grow from nothing. But fuck, what I came for (the surreal ass story they seemed to set up) is hot flaming garbage. Games good. Story's awful. Don't even @ me.

Fucking. Sucks. Look, a lot of people tried to convince me The Hateful Eight fucking sucked. That it was 2:50 of nothing for 10 minutes of insanity. That it was the type of movie you could fall asleep halfway through to. I said "lul, you mad. I could listen to Samuel L Jackson for twenty hours regardless, and the sheer mayhem of the end more than made up for it". But now, I apologise. I did not think Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt together could POSSIBLY be boring, but they are. This movie tries the exact. same. trick. as Hateful Eight, but fails so fucking hard. Boring as fuck. 0/10. If you're on the fence, don't bother with this. Hot garbage. Blah blah blah.

Movie was ace. My favourite part was all the dumb giggling teens in the cinema I went to, laughing at awkward parts about mental health etc, shutting the fuck up when the movie took a turn. Felt it was a solid 8/10 it was pitch fucking perfect until the rant really began towards the end. I docked it two points for Joker's complete characteristic change. Tempted to add another point on though for: Yeah. Fuck it. That and "that scene" in his apartment, fuck it, 9/10.
