I know there's a moment several chapters back now that ties into this but I'm still in the digesting phase and don't wanna dive into looking things up just yet either.

AoT ended pretty much exactly how I expected and I'm still not sure how I feel about that

It has its own charm, I think I'm going to follow in Ma's footsteps and pace it out a bit, the shakey parts aren't kind on my brain either. I was still delighted the whole time, mind you, but yeah

Netflix chose to be cagey with their advertising for Gokushufudou, it's called something like an "animated comic" in japan but marketed to other countries as "anime" which had people's expectations up for like... movement lmao. It's just meant to breathe a little more life into the comic with limited motions and voice acting. I really hope it gets a full blown anime sometime because I would absolutely watch it

Been playing a lot of Binding of Isaac now that the final DLC is out! I am terrible at it

We got ours ridiculously early only because I put our names on the list like... minutes after our city put the sign ups page live. I really thought that would just mean we'd get in the front of the line during a later phase but apparently they had doses to use and not enough people signing up so I guess they were just like fuck it, we'll pull from other phases. I still feel guilty about it, but they had doses they needed to use and we were eligible so we took it.

We had a small family gathering for Easter (most of us are fully vaccinated, but we held it distanced outside anyway) and our uhhhhhh fuck it i'll just call her step sister in law even though she isn't (complicated lol) came and she told me she was too scared to get the vaccine because she heard it had super scary side effects and I was just like NOOOOOOO PLEASE GET IT so hopefully she takes that to heart instead of whatever rumors she's hearing... It really sounds like y'all are on the same rollout schedule we're on but got a way slower start and that fucking sucks. It's been sounding that way for a while but I guess I assumed y'all would catch up, but doing some reading I guess it sounds like Canada chose to invest in European factories for vaccines instead of US ones which I mean.... I don't blame them for being wary of all that since it got started under Trump but god it sucks that it's all so backed up. What a mess. I really hope things start to pick up pace wise for y'all soon.

not gonna lie, I had COMPLETELY forgotten that Funimation only "airs" the dub since we'd attended a premiere event for the first season (and had tickets for season 2 but pandemic) in sub format and today was like WHY IS IT LIVE BUT ONLY DUB WHAT THE FUCK after raging that their special online premiere this time was only in dub it hit me like 5 minutes after I had a nice indignant pout about it. Oops. Funi bought Crunchyroll so I very much hope they'll just.... put Funimation stuff back on VRV and I can keep using that. I much prefer their site and player formats.

No idea on the variant thing. From what my parents say, it sounds like when Lee's aunt had it, but the difference is he's tested positive for it and she tested negative 3 times but they were like "ok but this is clearly covid so uhhhhhh" She had a hell of a time for about a week and she had my mother in law around to take care of her, so I'm super worried about my cousin being alone. But I mean, he's checking in with family and if he stops checking in we know to break down his door i guess! ....or use a key, i think my parents have a spare key. That's less dramatic tho.

It's accurate, there's a PV for it and everything! There were a lot of production problems and it sounds like they just grabbed up the first slot they could to get the special out because their air time was used up. Seems like the recap episode wasn't supposed to happen initially but did due to all the issues. Some of the team were hospitalized, stuff like that. So apparently there will be a part 2 of the AoT final season (winter 2022)! I'm still hoping for a movie finale though

From what I read the studio behind the anime tends to do one and done seasons that give you a good taste of the story but it's not impossible! I will keep hoping!
