Yeah I dunno what it is about it but I get this weird compulsion to listen to the English lines instead of just quickly reading enough to get on with it. With another language on or when there's no full voice acting it's easier for me to just sail through. In the case of Bravely Default II the English voices IMMEDIATELY pissed me off and I switched them as quickly as possible. I just fuckin' hated them.

I never got through much of Bravely Second for the absolute dumbest reason. I kept the English voices on and felt COMPELLED to listen to every line all the way through. It became too time consuming for me to get much progress and I just dropped it and forgot about it. This time I switched to Japanese voices because I'm like YEAH OK I GET THE TONE AND GIST but sometimes I wait for them to say more and they REALLY REALLY pad the English text holy shit

Put a lot of hours into Bravely Default 2 so far, it's really been fun and I'm still barely into the story because my dumbshit ADHD ass had the idea of "well i'll just max out these jobs to get perks real quick" FIVE HOURS OF GRINDING LATER I ENTER CHAPTER 1.

Wonder Egg Priority hittin' hard again

At this point I sincerely believe they will announce a movie finale after the eps wrap up. The pacing is PERFECT for it and they're just....fucking dumb if they truly leave it just with these eps. I mean, I understand money and covid and all that, but I really feel like movie finale is the perfect medium for what's going to happen and will pretty much be free money (at least in japan) after the success of the Demon Slayer movie. also I will be just crushed if they don't so I have to believe lmao

I keep thinking I've actually posted in here when I haven't lol I LOVED that the whole Pietro thing was a red herring (naturally I got a good laugh in at "Ralph Bohner") For me it made all the speculation and stuff tie up in a fun way. I wanted the Mephisto thing to be real for a while because that's something I'm vaaaaaaguely familiar with so I thought it'd be really cool to have it happen but I loved the way things went. I was so wary of this series (mini series? What does this qualify as?) for so long but it proved itself more and more with every ep and man, it was just fun. And a gut punch. I liked the horror aspect to it, I liked the themes, I liked the heart and emotions, I liked seeing smaller characters come back, I liked the way they worked magic into the canon, I dunno I just liked it all I'm just.... pleased with this. hooray!

Kemono Jihen

Finally finished High-rise Invasion, I enjoyed seeing it get a new life via anime, they definitely streamlined it well. If it does get a continuation, there's potential for them to rework the story further which would be very sorely needed. The manga falls reeeeeal flat on resolutions. I mean... they happen but it's just like "oh" If it doesn't get one I will gladly do a bullet point summary of the rest of the plot for y'all because that's all it takes lmao

Watchin' some High Rise Invasion while I eat, story is already streamlined for the better but I still got the manga open to refresh myself on things they've changed because I can there's fanservice in the manga but they really kicked it up more for the anime and I really wish they wouldn't but ok
