Yeah, like... this story itself is neatly wrapped up, but I meant more of them doing something like American Horror Story or Haunting of Hill House where some of the cast comes back for a new story! It could be great but it could also just be a mediocre follow up, so I'm not sure if getting more would be good. Misha Green (showrunner) has expressed interest in a Season 2 in some bits I've read! There's obviously lots that can be explored or expanded upon lore wise so a new season with a new story is doable, it's just the tiny matter of small things like writing and greenlighting. Small. Tiny. Just the whole damn thing. So yeah, the part i'm "torn" over is am I a jerk for wishing for more after enjoying a full course

yeah, it's really easy to tip one way or the other on the precaution spectrum. For a while my mom would be like "well are y'all completely disinfecting everything after you go get groceries" and then tell me about how they went to Home Depot and it was packed and they saw so many people they knew and stopped to chat! then turn around and try and lecture me on keeping safe. I have no idea what they're actually doing precaution wise. It sounds like you're being level headed and diligent about it and really that's the ideal but everyone has lost their fucking minds

mom texted me yesterday to ask if we were traveling out there this year. I said no. I immediately get a call from her where she flails around like "well I thouuuught you'd say no buuuuuuut" and I was just like BITCH THERE'S A FUCKING PANDEMIC but... nicer. We talked a bit and after a while she starts complaining about how boring their life is right now. Yes. Because, again, BITCH. PANDEMIC. ETC. but she was talking about how they were isolating so I'm just like well you're not really since you just had your son's whole family visit but ok.... and then she cheerfully starts talking about how maybe she should leave a day early to GO VISIT HER FAMILY INCLUDING MY GRANDMOTHER WHO IS IN HER FUCKIN' 90S and starts listing off people (mainly one uncle and his kids) who are going into the world to work and how she's "extra cautious around them" and I'm just like THEY SHOULDN'T BE HANGING OUT WITH MIMI EITHER but i mean whatever, clearly nothing connects or sticks in their mind just like my in-laws so *throws hands up*

i wanna print this out and glue it all over the walls of my brother's house but that'd involve a lot of travel and effort they got covid from a big family beach trip with my SIL's extended family and are now in "well we already had it so we're good" mode. They just got back from a trip to Disney! Stopped in to visit my old at-risk parents on the way back of course! my parents can't understand why this pisses me off.

World War Z. Read with a full cast and it's so well done! (for anyone who just knows the movie and not the book, the book is done in the style of several interviews with people around the world sharing their experiences during a global zombie outbreak.) The Kingkiller Chronicle books were great to listen to, now if we could only get the third one completed and published so it can be complete.... Both the US and UK versions of the Harry Potter series are fun listens in their own regard. Jim Dale puts a lot of effort into the US version and UK version is Stephen Fry and is just magical. buuuuuuuuuuut fuck JK Rowling so maybe pirate those if you wanna listen.

lee's dumbfuck cousin tested positive the other day and has potentially exposed the whole family thanks to granddad having a medical scare and everyone but me gathering in a parking lot outside the hospital to wait on answers. (I was not there because I felt sick, and didn't want to expose the whole family. My issue turned out to be anemia though.) He's been going out to bars and having people over to hang out all year and I'm so fucking angry. Lee's been tested but we're waiting on the results. So far other family has been negative, so that's a relief, but this cousin lives on the same property as the very very at risk grandparents and still has been acting this way. I'm so tired of this.

after watching ep 2 today i'm almost tempted to tell you to go binge the originals. This series appears to either assume you've seen or are familiar with the originals or is trying to present the story in a whole new way, which will almost certainly be spoiled for you by casual reading of comments and stuff on this. SHIT'S CHANGED, GO WATCH THE ORIGINALS OR READ THE SYNOPSIS OR ASK ME TO EXPLAIN THE STORY BECAUSE THIS IS NOT A REBOOT THIS IS BASICALLY SEASON 3 Either way, keep watching this one shit's gonna get crazy quick and I am excited editing again to explain myself more but i will spoiler it just in case (i don't reveal anything except what changed my mind on my post!) I think people can enjoy this series going in just from this still, but now that I know what they're doing I VERY MUCH recommend you get a solid baseline of the original plot, because I'm not sure how straightforward they'll be with it since this is aimed at existing fans.

It's all so terribly exhausting and frustrating. I am SO fucking thankful that we're in a good position to self isolate and stay afloat. But then vet bills happened and, once again, I was just thankful I was in a position to be able to get my pet help, even if it was a big oof. I'm so fucking bitter though. I very recently switched to an iPad and I fucking love it. I know a lot of artists have just switched to that in recent years, so you could look at what the model you have can do. If it can support something like Procreate (which is ten bucks and is constantly getting better, it's even expanding small animation tools!) then you might let her take ownership of that. If you go that route, I'd suggest having a talk with her about it being a "starter" and that upgrading it is a LOT of money so you can explore options to save up shit like christmas money or whatever your kid gets i dunno her finances. I have brain farts going but basically I'm suggesting making it clear that it's not just a "have a hand me down" it's "this is a real art tool and you'll use this to learn with" just because I know I was sensitive about hand me downs for art shit i dunno man fuck i ain't a parent

Wacom is on the decline but as far as I know the Intuos line is pretty solid. A thing to consider is support level, Wacom still has most support right now but as other brands get bigger and bigger presence then it's probably fine to choose one of them. There's Huion and XP Pen for cheaper alternatives, you see them a lot on Amazon and like Galeigh said you can get a screen tablet for a great price. Realistically, at this age and stage in her art growth any of these would be a good choice. I can help you narrow down from a shortlist if you'd like. The real issue here that you're going to want to consider in all this is what program is she going to use to draw. That's a HUGE part of this that beginners overlook. Especially if she wants to animate! The lions in the game for art right now are Clip Studio and Procreate, but Procreate is iPad so let's say Clip Studio for you. It is NOT an easy program to learn, but like with any program, the more you use the more adept you become. It can do SO MUCH. There's cheaper, simpler programs as well I'm just not familiar with them but a quick Google gave me a bunch of leads so I'm sure you can find something that suits her needs. All this to say--- yes, what you've picked is fine but go on and take a look at some of the screen tablets because sooner rather than later she's gonna ask for one of those instead lolololol
