Shame we can't make the other recipes since they fucked our box up I mean, we can, but it requires a trip to the grocery. They only gave us 2 meats and one of them was steak and our box was supposed to be 2 chicken recipes and 1 fish so.... oops. They comped the whole box cost though so I ain't mad. I will report in here with other recipes that strike our fancy from there as we go!

OK Fire Force S2 ep 1 won me back because I love the sillier stuff. It also helped that I finally watched the last ep of season 1 but like I said... Fire Force lost me HARD on ep........ oh shit, that was the last ep of season 1 that I was just like UGH I'M TIRED OF THIS and gave up on a minute in. Shit. OK, nvm I guess I'll finish that and give S2 a go. I like the style and the characters but I got so fucking tired of that big fight that I just dropped the series like a hot potato and walked away.

I'm doing a rewatch of S1 but this time the director's cut version and I'm on ep 8 out of 12 on that so within the next day or so I'll get to S2. Might watch the movie before or after I get to S2, haven't decided yet.

I started Persona 4 Golden the other day (beaten it before) and keep meaning to play it a bit more but I've just been playing Animal Crossing. I still need to start Persona 5 Royal but I've held off on that so that I'd have it as a treat later down the road, especially since I'm just gonna play the shit outta the Harvest Moon (or I guess Story of Seasons now) Mineral Town remake when it comes out next week so........ Animal Crossing. Lots of Animal Crossing.

It's just... infuriating. Part of it is just fuckin' hubris because the first time they did a family gathering during this and I lost my shit at my parents they were so so so fucking sheepish. They knew it was dumb but hey, it won't happen to us! Idiots.

SO GATHER ROUND FOR A TALE OF WHY MY FAMILY IS WEIRD AND KINDA DUMB THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE COVID (WELL, IT DOES BUT NOT AS THE MAIN FOCUS) My grandmother, who is in her mid 90s, has finally started having some health issues that have hampered her independence so my eldest aunt has been staying with her a lot to help out and make her feel more secure. So Aunt K is in the den watching tv and she hears Mimi call out to her "K...bring me a hoe." Turns out she'd seen a fucking snake in her bedroom and her instinct is shit, get me a hoe i'm gonna FUCK THIS SNAKE UP. Mimi's a tough lady. Aunt K, however, is not. Instead of being like oh shit yeah lemme grab one, K flies into hysterics, shrieking and freaking out and panicking more when there is no hoe to be found and the snake vanishes (it hid from the chaos) and they end up calling my uncle, who comes over, catches this lil harmless snake and releases it out back. This is not enough, so then they must venture into town in search of a Snake Hoe in case of future snake alerts, but, GASP! No shop in their small town has any hoes! DAMN YOU, CORONAAAAAAAAAA So by this point my parents, who are planning to come up for a family gathering anyway because my family is a bunch of idiots, are like no need to worry! We in the BIG TOWN will get a hoe! So they do. They make it halfway to my grandmothers before being informed that one (1) Snake Hoe is not enough. Mimi requires one for her bedroom and one for the back porch now. So, they stop and get another hoe. Fast forward to now, Aunt K tells my mom that she's bought some big rubber rain boots to wear as snake precaution, because that's totally rational and how you should react to a lil garter snake. Moral of the story is I just like to tell this so I can say "snake hoe"
