Finally got around to starting this over the weekend. Finished it last night. Overall, I thought it was pretty solid. Trigger did a good job as always. Got the urge now to read Neuromancer again.

Quintuple posting... @Anelle and @Psycho666Soldier where'd you go? I am current on Jujutsu Kaisen now. I am not enjoying the current arc (The Culling Game) quite as much as the previous one, which I thought was fantastic (The Shibuya Incident), but it's still been pretty solid anyways. Still thrilled that HxH is back in my life. Also still worried that this arc is so big that Togashi may never finish it There is so much going on. Elusive Samurai PPPPPP Also, I love the colour Rakugo Quest cover page for Akane-banashi this week!

Well, that's that. Baseball is over for another long winter I was happy to see the 'Stros win it in the end. They're clearly the better, more complete team. You never know what can happen in a best-of-7 series, and it is also fun to see the underdog upset the favourite, but something feels right to me about the "better team" winning. It was an entertaining World Series and the Phils gave them a run for their money! But if the Phils want to be legit contenders next year then they need to tighten up their defense somehow. They're pretty bad on that side of the ball. Winning games with a high-powered offense gets you through the regular season well enough, but in the postseason when you're playing all the top teams, the margin for error becomes so thin. Need to play good defense. The biggest eye-opener for me from watching the ALCS and WS is that Jeremy Pena is one incredible player. He looks like a vet the way he carries himself on the field. Aside from the fact that he obviously looks young, you could never tell he's a rookie. What a talented a poised player.
-
Yeah, Javier's starts have been stellar in the ALCS and WS! I think McCullers Jr. must have been tipping his pitches in the previous game. So many homeruns. I've been pleasantly surprised by this World Series. I hope it goes the full seven games. I'm really enjoying it.

Episode #4 was easily the best so far. You can always count on Power to mix things up Please start the next episode with 3 squeezes

Yeah, latest manga chapter is getting serious!

Oh yeah, HxH is back! It's a shame that the return from hiatus happened to coincide with a chapter that didn't feature any primary (or even secondary) characters. Not the most exciting point in the story for a return. But there was a very slick cover page featuring Gon and Yusuke, so I was thrilled to see that. So many things are happening concurrently aboard the Black Whale. I hope Togashi can churn out a good amount of chapters before the next hiatus, because I'm so curious to see how it all plays out! Other things: I'll say it yet again: The Elusive Samurai is very good! The last few chapters have been so satisfying The latest Akane-banashi was great--you show 'em, Akane! The action going in Sakamoto Days lately has been really good too edit: I forgot to mention, I've been reading Jujutsu Kaisen at a pretty quick pace. I cannot wait to see the next major story arc get animated (The Shibuya Incident). It is nuts. There is so much going on all at once, several different fights, lots of different characters involved. It's a bit reminiscent of the Palace Invasion during the Chimera Ant arc in HxH in that regard.

Not really! I might have to cheer for the Astros... Ick.

All caught up on HxH and excited for a new chapter! This is a pretty massive story arc. Togashi has given himself a lot of work to do! I can't help but wonder how long it will take for him to finish, if ever... Oh well, hope for the best.

I lol'd so hard when I flipped over to that panel Another great moment in this chapter:

I'm about 15 chapters away from current on HxH. Can't wait for a new chapter! I'm very happy with my choice to re-read these chapters, because oh boy does it get complicated. I might have to start taking notes Elusive Samurai #82

Anime continues to be fantastic New chapter #69

I am all aboard the Dads' bandwagon! It's a bummer about Seattle, but even though they got swept, that was not an easy series for Houston. The M's put up a good fight.
-
I think the M's still have some fight left in them, but it's probably better to expect the worst I am hoping that Atlanta comes back to knock out the Phillies. Something about the Phils, I just don't find them to be a very likeable team. I am all aboard the Guardians and Padres bandwagons if they can do away with the Yanks and Dodgers.

It's all good, I won't be losing out on anything It's not like I'm going to stop watching. I've been looking forward to seeing this animated since I read the manga. I just found parts of this first episode to be slow, perhaps even a bit sleep inducing The action sequence in the middle part of the episode was fantastic though.

I fell asleep during the first episode of Chainsaw Man, which usually isn't a good sign But I watched it right before bed the other night, and I've been sick for a few days now. Not sure what kind of virus I have, but it's totally kicking my ass. I figured Chainsaw Man would keep me engaged enough to stay awake, but sadly I was snoozing about 3/4 of the way through the episode

Dudes! O M G It's happening!!! New chapter coming in 11 days This is not a drill! The whole series right up until the most recent chapter (390) is available on the Jump app! The anime ended at chapter 339, so it's not too much to catch up on if your liked the anime and want to pick it up. Some crazy stuff happens. It's been so long since there were new chapters, I'm probably just going to read everything again starting from 340 to refresh my memory. Oh man oh man oh man oh man I cannot believe this

I don't know this team very well, the bullpen and names of guys further down the depth chart, but I really didn't like what they did in the 9th last night. Sewald was awful in the game against Toronto on Saturday. I would have put anybody else out there instead of him. Then they brought in Ray, who is prone to allowing homeruns, with two runners on. And he's a starter that hasn't appeared out of the 'pen in a pretty long time. If it had worked then I suppose Servais would have looked like a genius, but to me that was a recipe for disaster. I'm still cheering for Seattle, but, I won't lie -- it felt pretty damn satisfying seeing Alvarez hit that bomb But, uh... go M's!
-
So I started reading Jujutsu Kaisen on the weekend and blasted through 64 chapters since then. I am almost at the point where the anime ended. This was a great refresher. There were definitely a lot of details I've forgotten, so I'm glad I didn't try to pick it up where the anime left off. Can't wait to keep reading more! Also, Todo is the best
