Like and enjoy whatever music you like without thinking too much about Belinda Carlisle was briefly the first drummer for The Germs, pretty much as punk as it gets, and then went on to massive pop success with The Go-Gos just a few years later. “Heaven is a Place on Earth” was a huge track that I still hear regularly on pop radio stations today. You can play and be into all kinds of music.

I agree that the new chapter was pretty solid. I still don’t find the comedy especially funny, but that doesn’t really take away from the series for me.

I’m in a very ‘90s guitar rock’ mood tonight. Listening to lots of Dino, Pavement, Flaming Lips, etc.

It’s about time they did something re: Bauer. His leave just kept getting extended for the longest time, kicking the can down the road. Nice to see action taken, and tough action at that. Osuna and Ozuna (and others) should have received harsher punishments too IMO.

Anybody else up-to-date on DB Super? Chapter #83

I'm kinda surprised to see the M's and Angels at the top of the NL West right now. I wasn't a big believer in the M's last year despite their successes. I guess I'm still not convinced about that team from last year. But they're still winning games here in 2022 so I guess they're better than I thought! I also just expect the Angels to underwhelm despite having Trout and Ohtani. They've never really managed to put a good team around Trout in the decade or so he's been around. Dude's a perennial MVP candidate and usually the teams is going nowhere fast. I hope they're actually good this year. It's weird to see them winning so many games The Jays won again last night. Come-from-behind, extra inning win over the Red Sox. You can never count this team out of a game!

Ayashimon #21 “Sack”

The Reds cleaned house a bit this off-season. Guess they’re tanking this summer. Doesn’t help that most of the lineup seems to be slumping.

That’s a good point. He kind of accomplished one of his most important goals already. Though I suppose he still needs to get the other heroes more on-board with his agenda still. That’s not as compelling of a plot line though.

Wait five days and everybody else will be joining in the Komi lovefest.

Working on it

Watching the last couple episodes, I find myself wondering what it was I liked about the first season of Shield Hero… Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness is something I am legitimately enjoying though! Feel-good slice of life goodness. The 3rd episode introduced a new character, she’s cool. I pretty much like all the characters so far.

There aren’t many Gundams left that I haven’t watched at least once. I’d have to look over a full listing of series, movies, etc. to remember everything Wing is indeed still really good IMO. Not my favourite, the OG Gundam series are better, but really good anyway. And Wing happened to be the one that got me into Gundam during my formative teenage anime-watching years. It holds a special place I also agree that G Gundam is a blast! A couple more recent candidates for a rewatch for me are IBO (fantastic stuff ) and G-Reco (it was confusing and I wanted to like it more than I actually did … but maybe it will be better the second time?) In other news, me and the kiddo finally finished Digimon Adventure this week. The final battle was pretty great. But I think we could have got there in quite a bit less than 67 episodes. The series was too long overall but there were still lots of good moments in there.

Choujin X is cool to look at. I love the style. Some of the characters are fun too. But I’m not super invested in the story overall. I would like to see it animated someday. I feel like Earthchild is a bit of a mess. There’s a lot going on in there and it feels a bit chaotic to me. I’ll stick with it though.

Another great chapter of Akane-banashi this week! (#10) I don't have any specific comments. Just wanted to mention again that it's great. Ayashimon #20

I’ve thought a few times now about starting on One Piece. Can’t do it. Too much — Elusive Samurai (59) seems to be building up to some excitement. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming confrontations. Sakamoto Days is generating more interest from me again. Kind of an interesting twist in this week’s chapter (67).
