I haven't looked into any new stuff yet... I think SnK is coming up this weekend though!

I only beat a handful of new (to me) games last year. Chasm was the cream of the crop — I really enjoyed it. Cosmic Star Heroine and TnT Rhythmic Adventure were great fun too. Still need to finish the second game from the Rhythmic Adventure Pack. I of course also completed a few runs through Final Fantasy V last year, as is tradition during the Fiesta. Then D2:R released in September and I haven’t played anything else since

Been a while since I bumped this thread. Another character is through Hell, Patriarch gallagher, the summoning Necromancer Druid -- Summoner Druid, later re-spec'd into Wind Druid -- DONE Sorc -- Fireball Sorc, later re-spec'd into Frozen Orb / Fireball Sorc -- DONE Necro -- Summoner / Corpse Explosion -- DONE Barb -- Double Swing / Frenzy Barb, re-spec'd into Singer / War Cry build -- DONE Amazon -- Charged Strike / Lightning Fury Javazon -- Started a character and got her through to Act II Normal a couple weeks ago Pally -- Zealot, maybe re-spec'ing to Hammerdin in later difficulties -- Cruising through the game, in Act V NM now Assassin -- Trapsin probably -- Traps-based builds are less gear-dependent and I haven't found decent stuff for a Martial Arts build... still yet to create this character... edit: Got another Pat, my Singer Barb: Patriarch ken. It seems I forgot to grab Wirt's leg when I went through Act I Hell, so no Hell Cows for ken Oh well. This was by far the easiest trip through Act V Hell so far. It's a super safe build. My Paladin is next up to take on Hell, as he's sitting in Act V NM right now. So far, no need to change away from the Zealot built. He's walking all over everything.

We’re having a nice Christmas holiday so far. I used up the last of my vacation days to get this week off, so I haven’t been to work since Christmas Eve and won’t be back until Jan. 4th We did a quiet little Christmas, just me, wife, and kiddos, at our apartment. Santa was good to the kids — new games, toys, books, and clothes — and I got some goodies for my wife like spa gift certificates, a new wallet, and next week I’m taking her out shopping for a pet fish that she really wants. I got a couple nice bottles of wine, an LCBO gift card, and some cash to put towards guitar parts. We have been up at my dad’s since the 27th, he’s got a place on a lake up north. It’s been a fantastic week. Days mostly spent outdoors, filled with skating (rink on the lake), campfires, booze, and just hanging out with the fam (my sister and her family were up too). It’s gonna be a bummer going back to the city tomorrow.

Self isolation, social distancing, sheltering in place, whatever else you call it

Over 9000 cases reported today in Ontario. We’re blowing precious record highs out of the water right now… Fun times. -
Bit of a weak ending for takt op. Destiny, but overall I enjoyed the show. Destiny has some great moments in the final episode

I'm beginning to feel a little more worried about the COVID thing again because of what's happening with omicron I thought I got off this rollercoaster ride a while back... Numbers are going pretty crazy here in Ontario. -

Platinum End … I don’t know why I’m still watching this trash

Aquatope — it’s… it’s… over Fantastic ending though. I really wouldn’t change a thing. This was a great series and I’m gonna miss it on Thursday nights this winter

Gotta say, I’m still pretty blown away by that Billie Eilish track. The album version is alright too, but I especially like the rendition on SNL. I was feeling like kicking back with some T Rex tunes today though, so The Slider is what I’m listening to right now. I love this album And the title track is perhaps my fav T Rex song.

My Switch year in review thingy says I've put 220 hours into D2R It hasn't even been out 3 full months yet I haven't played games this much in ages! Feels good. Still having lots of fun in D2R.

I think I've decided to start with Jujutsu Kaisen first. IIRC the anime ended at around chapter 60-something in the manga, so I'm looking at just over 100 chapters to get current. I probably had about the same amount of reading to do when I started getting caught up on Dr. Stone, and that didn't take me too long. I can get around to Demon Slayer later, or maybe just start watching the anime. I think I'd rather just read the manga and forget about the anime though. I never gave My Hero Academia a chance. There was a lot of hype over the anime when it started, and lots of people seemed to like it, so I guess I just looked the other way instead... Too much to catch up on if I start reading/watching it now, so it's off the table!

I'm not old (or essential) enough to be eligible for a booster yet -
Can’t say I know a thing about Billie Eilish but I stumbled upon this today and I think it’s pretty rad. Great performance.

The winter anime season doesn't seem like it will have much to offer me aside from SnK, and I'm running low on books to read in the evenings too, so I'm thinking of reading some more manga this winter. Two candidates right now are Demon Slayer (pros: it's done and all available on the Jump app) and Jujutsu Kaisen (pros: again, on the Jump app, and I enjoyed the first season of anime quite a bit). I might want to read The Promised Neverland as well, because the anime really went sideways and I probably missed a lot by not reading the manga. Got any other suggestions for me?

Just got caught up on Sakamoto Days. I picked a good time! Last few chapters have been exciting. All the other new chapters were solid this week too. No major stand-outs, but everything was good.

Shorter than I would like, but #57 was great

I’m pretty much just watching the end of SnK this winter unless I get so bored that I try something else out… nothing is jumping out at me on the chart.

Aquatope #23 — What a beautiful episode. Only one left

Yeah Doron Dororon is off to a decent start. I will keep reading it If it doesn’t become popular then I can see it getting an abrupt and disappointing ending, like some other ones recently. Only time will tell.
