They haven't had a shot at Detroit yet... not sure when they come up on the schedule, but those should be pretty winnable games. They also haven't played the Orioles yet this season. What is it, 18 or 19 games against each team in the same division? They had better win a bunch of their games against Baltimore. I'm sure the Yanks, Red Sox, and Rays will all rack up a bunch of wins against the Os. Jays gotta keep pace if they can.

Vivy was really good again this week. Exciting fight scene! And I’m quite enjoying the music in this show. The latest episode of Shadows House was a bit forgettable to me. I’m kinda losing interest in this maze challenge thing. TWEWY and 86 are on the watching schedule for tonight. There’s been so much basketball to watch this week, it’s hard to find time to watch all the new anime episodes and all the hoops (and then there are Blue Jays games too!)

Many Canadians want so badly to somehow be better than our American neighbours. It's silly. I pre-reg'd for my first dose today. Just this week they opened it up to anybody 18+ in Ontario. I'm pretty low on the priority list though, so who knows how long I'll be on the waiting list before I get an appointment.

Ugh, the clip of the knee to the head of Tavares was not easy to watch. Brutal. Hope he’s alright.

Well that’s a bummer

They might have treated some playoff teams differently, but it looks like the Canucks had games against a couple playoff teams in this final busy stretch... so maybe the league wouldn’t have treated the other teams differently? I guess it helps that a chunk of these seemingly meaningless games were against the Flames. Neither team was playoff bound. Most of these guys are probably hitting a beach or golf course tomorrow

Why are they even bothering with those games..? The Canucks and Flames aren't even in the playoff picture. Unless there are draft implications, regular season games are pointless now

Oh, I didn’t know about the re-seeding. That could be an interesting wrinkle.

Read up to chapter 71 of Chainsaw Man over the last week or so. I have to admit, I started losing track of the plot, probably 15-20 chapters ago. It started getting messy as they introduced more devil hunters, and then all these different characters that all were out to get Denji. A bit too much going on for me. But I am still curious to learn what the heck is so special about Makima, and of course to see if my guy gets to touch some boobs. Only about 25 chapters to go. I hope it ends on a high note and starts getting less confusing. edit: I should say too, I think this could be pretty awesome animated. Lots of action. It’s not always easy to see what all is really happening in the fighting panels. Seeing it animated would be nice and probably clearer.

We got some playoffs going on now. (It was news to me ) Because of how the divisions were rearranged this year, this could lead to some Cup Finals match ups that normally would not be possible. That's interesting. Imagine the Leafs finally making it to the Cup Finals, only to be devastated by the Bruins yet again It's also cool that a Canadian team will for sure make it to the Semifinals (and then probably get whooped by the Avs or Golden Knights ) I have almost zero interest in the right-hand side of the bracket. Carolina, Nashville, Florida, Tampa == But I would cheer for the Caps if they make it out of their division. I like Ovi.

We got up to episode 45 this weekend... so we should be caught up by next weekend. Many of the episodes we watched while getting caught up have been kinda bad, but the one with the King of Digimon (Entertainment! Muscles!, etc.) kicked it up a notch from bad to so-bad-it's-good

Shadows House Vivy -- I was a bit down on the episode last week, but they dialed it back up again this week!

The Jays still haven’t had any games with the Orioles yet. A bunch of wins against Baltimore could help prop up their W-L record a bit. But the Yanks and Red Sox get to play them the same number of times too... Everybody in the AL should be able to feast on the Orioles and Tigers The Twins are surprisingly bad this year too.

Whole lot of “I can’t wait to see what happens next chapter!” going on this week. Dr. Stone Gonna have showdowns next week in Candy Flurry and The Elusive Samurai. I think they could both be exciting. Also curious to see what happens next with mAR in i tell c.

New chapters today for almost everything I’m reading

It doesn’t make any sense, but the Ontario government has a track record of doing stuff that doesn’t make sense. During the winter lockdown (Boxing Day through to the end of January) ski hills were not allowed to open either. I don’t get it. The thing that continues to baffle me is that Doug Ford is a Conservative who is supposed to be all about facilitating business. His big slogan after getting elected was basically, “Ontario: Open for business”. But for the past year he has continually shut down small businesses, closed relatively safe outdoor activities like golf courses, ski hills, camp sites, etc. The little guys , mom ‘n’ pops, are closing shop while Costco, Amazon, Walmart, etc. are probably making a killing. The government claims to be following guidance of the science board, but it just doesn’t add up.

"Thanks Doug" is trending on Twitter right now Stay-at-home order was planned to end May 20, but was extended yesterday to June 2. They still won't even allow the fucking golf courses to open. All of the major summer events in the GTA will probably be cancelled for the second year in a row (Caribana, the CNE, etc.) I don't golf or go to, well, anything really... so it's not like my life has changed much, but I'm a bit different than lots of (most?) people. Other folks need an outlet of some sort. A round of golf with a few friends would not be that dangerous. Close the clubhouse and bar/restaurant. Keep everybody outside. BYOB. Piss behind a tree if you have to. Walk the course instead of renting a car. This ain't rocket science. The golf courses could manage it safely and easily. I think provincial parks are open, at least, but I'm not sure if campsites are available. Everybody is cancelling all their spring/summer plans, I guess.
