“I’m a teacher, I have fourteen students. If I’m willing to risk it, why aren’t you?” Like c'mon people, this wedding is really important!!! -

Stumbled on to this article via twitter: Texas Wedding Photographers Have Seen Some $#!+ -
I'll have to look at the chapter list again to be sure, but I think chapter 135 + 3 more chapters will make 1 more volume (usually 4 chapters per volume) so chapter 138 would be a nice place to wrap it up.

CR's website and apps are all pretty crummy, but I still use it to read AoT. It's easy (when it works). Feels like we're nearing the end now. I wonder how many chapters are left to go.

It's up on Crunchyroll if you are a subscriber, that's where I read it
-
@Anelle have you read chapter 135 yet?

That's a bummer, get well soon you guys. Sounds like it's become a pretty rough situation out there in Alberta (not that were fairing any better in Ontario). -
Reports came out over the weekend that Cleveland is planning to change their team name. I'm surprised they held out this long.

That must have been covered near the end of S2 after they finally opened the basement
-
Something big is happening soon, might be another week away though

Ontario is still very COVID-y. I think we're doing worse than ever up here in terms of case counts, though perhaps not as many people are dying because the situation at old folks' homes isn't quite as dire as it was in the spring. But still there appears to be way more infections and community spread than when the whole province shutdown in March... and we're kinda just carrying more or less like business as usual. A few schools in our school board have declared outbreaks recently. So far I don't think there have been any confirmed cases at my daughter's elementary school. Here's hoping it stays that way. -
Oh yeah, totally forgot about Digimon. I'll definitely stick with it. I like the new ED Yeah it's probably gonna be trash but it might be a nice light hearted diversion during a shitty covid lockdown winter. Isekai Quartet was fairly well received last year. I think these cutesy shows tend to do well. Might as well give it a try. Stray Dogs already had a pretty good sense of humour and some funny characters so it might actually be alright.

I think I will have increased capacity for watching anime over the winter. What else will there be to do? For sure watching: - SnK - Jujutsu Kaisen (I think it will continue into winter..?) - Neverland - Dr. Stone I feel like I'm also going to need some slice of life and comedic relief if we're in lockdown for part of the winter and I start spiraling, so I will check out Horimiya and Bungou Stray Dogs Wan! and perhaps others. I haven't look at the whole winter chart yet. Finally, as always, I will continue to search for my Holy Grail -- anime original, 12-13 episodes with a good story. Back Arrow could be promising, and I will probably also give SK? a look too.

First episode of the final season was pretty solid I think MAPPA has gotten off to a decent start. I'm not crazy about the opening or ending themes, but oh well. So much crazy shit is going to go down. I can't wait to see it all animated I'm up-to-date on the manga so I know what's coming, but that really doesn't take anything away from it.
-
Since it's a monthly, I don't think it can drag on too much longer now that the final anime season has started airing. Won't take long for the anime to catch up.

Haven't picked up my Switch in weeks. Too busy playing and tinkering with my bass guitars. I really do need to get back to playing Project Diva though.

Amused but also annoyed -- saw this in my inbox this morning, it's only Dec. 4th

Yeah I'm not sure how much incentive he has to practice But even if he does keep up his training regimen, if he starts losing bat speed like many aging players do, there's not much he can do about that. It can be hard for dudes in their late 30's to keep up with 100 mph fastballs. MLB offseason has been so boring so far. NBA free agency was a crazy weekend with trades and signings all over the place, just constant movement. The Blue Jays are getting tied to some impact players - both because they've said they want to add an impact player and because everybody knows they have the money to do it - but it's hard to say how legit the reports are. Get somebody already so I have something to get excited about please, Blue Jays

Yeah I kinda like this guy

Yeah things were looking up for the Mets with Cohen taking over and starting to clean house in the front office. The Cano news is a bad look, even if it's not really the team's fault. I wonder if there's some loophole where they can just cut him due to multiple PED suspensions and not be on the hook for the rest of his contract..? He was actually pretty decent in 2020, but now it's hard to say if that was legit or not. His deal is for $24 million annually until 2023 The drug suspension will make him forfeit his 2021 salary though.
