I thought for sure they were done for at the start of OT2 They live to play another game! Very solid defense most of this game. Kyle was incredible. Norm finally stepped up. Gasol even hit a couple shots. If only they could find a way for Siakam to be more effective.

Self isolation, social distancing, sheltering in place, whatever else you call it

It's tough. They can only do so much. The government is pumping more money into education, but the isn't a limitless supply of cash. And so many schools are old and at capacity as it is. Can't make the schools bigger and more spacious overnight. My daughter is in grade 5 this year and follows instruction well, so I'm not worried about her ability to follow all the safety rules. But I am hoping that lots of other families at our school have chosen to opt out. The fewer kids in my daughter's class, the better! -
Gotta give credit to Boston's defense. Quite a few of the Raps' missed "open" looks from 3-point range have been pretty deep 3's. Not easy shots to make regularly, unless it's Dame Lillard out there. Toronto has to work super hard to get points on Boston's defense

It depends from province to province, and even school board to school board within the province. In our case, the school board gave families the option to opt out of in-person schooling in favour of learning online. I think the opt out was for the first semester, and then you'd get the chance to change your mind. Despite concerns, we ultimately think it's best for our daughter to be back in school. Being at home all this time hasn't been good for her. And it really isn't feasible for us to keep her at home anyhow. School is starting a week later to give teachers extra prep time, so they're back next week. One week of staggered start with the students split into two groups coming in on alternate days, and then the following week they're all back 5 days a week (if an outbreak doesn't shut it all down before that ) -
Have you still kept up-to-date on AoT? Read chapter 132 yet??? Oh man

So, tonight's the night. What do you think @Vic Boss ? Do they force a game 7, or are they done? Gasol has been bad all series, and apparently Ibaka is questionable because of his ankle. If Gasol doesn't impress early tonight, and Ibaka can't play, then I think they need to try going small a bit more. Lowry, VanVleet, Norm, OG, Siakam. Play fast, move the ball, etc. Gasol hasn't been giving them much of anything. Might even need to give Terence Davis or Matt Thomas some more minutes if VanVleet or Norm aren't hitting shots. They need a spark from somewhere, and I think Nurse will have to play whoever is playing best for big minutes tonight.

I'm getting pretty paranoid about COVID-19 again these days. I guess it's a combination of my daughter going back to school next week, going out to more places over the last few weeks, and the rising case numbers in the news Every little thing - an ache, a random sneeze, whatever - now tends to send my imagination running wild thinking about how I've got the virus and my impending doom Thankfully my wife is pretty good at talking me back down to Earth -
I was thinking a speaker or a small tower fan

It's always easy to cancel one and re-subscribe to the other. Not that I want to make a habit of doing that regularly
-
Kind of a weird looking thing. I like the white controller though.

Wait for some people to beat it and then read a plot summary / FAQ That's why I started borrowing games from our local library instead of buying them.
-
I don't think Hulu or ESPN+ are available in Canada, so no bundle for me. That seems like a pretty good deal though. If we get Disney+ then I will cancel my Netflix subscription, and actually save a few bucks a month as a result. It's mainly just my kid who watches Netflix, so if she wants Disney+ then the trade off is losing Netflix. She didn't seem to mind when I mentioned that last night.
-
I watched live until... about 4 minutes before halftime, I think. Then I switched to the Jays game (They were losing too but they came back with a huge 10-run 6th inning to win 12-7... The Raptors weren't coming back against the Celtics )
-
Probably don't even need to play the second half tonight Better luck in game 6, hopefully. I have very little confidence after watching the first half of this game though
-
I can't really comment since we don't have Disney+ (yet). My daughter is bugging me to subscribe so she can watch all the Disney, Pixar, and NatGeo stuff. It's not too expensive - $8.99 / month IIRC - but I am a bit hesitant to add yet another streaming service to our monthly budget... Do you guys and girls think Disney+ is worth it?
-
The Bucks finally won a game against the Heat today - mostly without Giannis. I'm not sure if they can win another though.

From a game recap thing on nba.com: You love to hear it (Here's hoping they don't run out of gas too early! There's no travel though, and they were off for a few months before the restart... they really shouldn't be *that* tired)

Kyle's the heart of this team. When he's aggressive, making shots, drawing fouls, the team does well. Fred wasn't amazing last night, but he hit his shots when it really counted. And Serge was a great spark off the bench. Siakam, Fred, and Kyle played 46, 45, and 44 minutes last night respectively. And Kyle and OG each played huge minutes in game 3. Nurse is going to have to keep riding these guys to win this series.
-
I guess it's a good experience for the team then (mostly young players, I assume?). Maybe they can learn from it and come back stronger next year. I hope the Blue Jays can accomplish something similar this year. They're on a bit of a roll right now and in the thick of the AL Wild Card race. If they can get in as the WC team, they have the potential to cause some trouble for whatever team they would play in the Division Series. I doubt they'd win a series, but it would be a good experience for the team and they could make the other team sweat a little bit.

Expectations weren't super high for the Canucks going into the season, right?

Last week as I was driving around, the odometer in my company truck hit 333333 km (three hundred thousand three hundred thirty three). Sadly, I only took ownership of it when it had approx. 225000 km on it already, so I didn't get to see it roll over 111111 or 222222. For whatever reason, I take great joy in seeing these random odometer numbers, especially long repeating numbers like 333333 and palindromic numbers (eg, it would have rolled over 331133 not too long ago). Big, round numbers like 100,000, 200,000, etc. are fun too, but not quite as fun. I guess now I'll wait and see if the engine has enough life left in it to get to 444444 km! Who else here drives a lot and enjoys seeing numbers like this come up on their odometer? How many miles/kms are on your vehicle right now? Inquiring minds want to know.
-
It also depends on how much you drive and how frequently you trade in your vehicles. Some people never make it to big numbers on their odometer. I do outside sales and my territory is basically all of southwestern Ontario, so I normally drive a lot (COVID-19 has of course changed everything). And the company isn't keen on spending lots of money right now, so I'm basically driving this truck until it dies. Slow and steady, the klicks will keep adding up. I'm back out on the road a bit more these days.
-
It's a bummer when I miss a good number on my odometer. I am always aware when something cool is coming, but if I forget about when I'm driving I miss it

Wowzers, 800000 km is pretty nuts. I wonder how much of that truck is still original?
