One of my favorite directors! I dunno what movie I'll pick!
-
It was great. I can and do recommend the show.

I've been watching a lot of YouTube lately as a wind down to go to bed. Thought I'd share some of my favorites and see what you guys have to offer up. PayMoneyWubby https://www.youtube.com/user/PaymoneyWubby He's become one of my favorites. He's not for everyone on the comedy area but he also exposes a lot of bad shit that slips by YT. He's a pretty charismatic and funny dude. He does do shock/dark humor though. Hydraulic Press Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcMDMoNu66_1Hwi5-MeiQgw I think most everyone is familiar with this one. It's just fun to watch and listen to him tell you how dumb it is to do what he does. Beyond the Press https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCveB47lgzZJ1WOf4XYVJNBw Same people as Hydraulic Press but this is them doing other weird and dangerous stuff. One recent video they replaced their cars tires with circular saw blades and drove around on a frozen lake. How Ridiculous https://www.youtube.com/user/whoisjimmy This is pretty much wholesome fun. These guys do a bunch of different things involving bowling balls, anvils, giant darts and dropping them from moderate to extreme heights, mostly. GTOger https://www.youtube.com/user/gtoger This is a new one that I discovered. Basically, a 247 shop owner has reserved parking in the back of his store. He has plastered no parking/tow signs everywhere but people continuously park there. He has a camera setup to watch them park, get towed and their reaction when they return to their cars. It's mildly entertaining.

You're aware that Gotham is in Canada, right?

FINAL FOUR The Dark Knight vs Avengers: Infinity War Captain America: The Winter Soldier vs Spider-Man: Homecoming

He's not directing. He's just producing.

I thought it was a general glasses joke lol

Huh. Total oversight. I obviously know it's Carpenter. I probably thought I put it in and didn't notice.

https://www.kerrang.com/the-news/static-x-reveal-masked-touring-vocalist-announce-north-american-and-european-tour/ They have a new vocalist doing their best Wayne Static vocals, and for the most part it sounds good. They also sampled a new song in the video in the link. The new vocalist is disguised wearing a Frankenwayne Static mask, which I don't think he'd be mad about.

I've been thinking about it all day. I specifically love the Joker scenes in TDK. Outside of that it's kind of drawn out. I've probably watched TDK start to finish about twice but I've watched various Joker scenes on YouTube dozens of times. On the other hand, Infinity War has been out less than a year and I've watched it more times in completion than I have with TDK in 11 years.

I'm not convinced. In the snippet of their new song I picked up song Jonathan Davis vibes, personally. I'll wait to see what they announce.

I think this is another case of a director starting high and never achieving that level of success again. I also think he's the type that is all over the map and people don't realize that he's done.

It's really his best movie in my opinion. It's a perfect vampire movie.
-
I'm just gonna keep doing this director series of topics! At first glance the easy choice is The Dark Knight but once you remember the other movies Nolan has done it's not quite as clear which movie is his best.

Scorsese is a beast. He hasn't directed as many as some directors, though I didn't include all on this list. He has been active since at least 1973 directing movies. He finally won Best Director for The Departed after all the years director. He hasn't won Best Picture yet though...

Honestly, it almost looks like Zemeckis was at his peak early and hasn't done much of note since 2000. His early work is still cinema legend.

For the record @Garlic Junior Scarecrow wasn't supposed to be officiating that court. It was originally supposed to be Joker. We know why it became Scarecrow.
-
Except you're seeing an end of career Batman that's lost everyone. I believe he didn't start that way, but at this point...he does kill. I'm guessing after the Joker ruined him.

My only issue with The Departed is that it's not his idea or concept. It's a remake of Infernal Affairs. I don't know if I can give the vote to The Departed based on that.
