So one thing I never quite figured out about Digimon: what do the kids even do? Like in Pokemon, the trainer focuses the Pokemon's skillset and moves so that they're better in battle than they would be in the wild (the games even reflect this). In Digimon, it seems mostly that the kids are only there to be a power-up battery for evolution and that's it?

Summer Struggle Spoils Don't look now but

YOSHHHH, Canucks beat Minnesota to make the first round. Pittsburgh, Edmonton and Nashville are the first teams to lose to "Non-Playoff" teams in the qualifier. I put "Non-Playoff" in quotations because like in the Canucks case, even though they were a playoff 7 seed vs a non-playoff 10 seed, the Canucks only had one more regular season point so it was an even matchup. Pit/MTL is a bit of a disaster but the rest aren't But also because of how this shook out, fucking Edmonton has a shot at the first overall pick again

Still not technically done with what I want to do with the game, there's a few easy online trophies to pop assuming I can find someone on PSTrophies. This is about what I remember of that era of beat'em up on the SNES. First few levels are fun, then it starts getting not-fun. The flying enemies are total bullshit and the health bars getting longer and longer makes things more aggravating. I beat it on Normal and then did the Hardcore mode trophy with Axel, then played a few rounds with Max (love his power, especially when you German Suplex someone and they die or a huge chunk of their health goes), Blaze (I like her flipping dash move) and about 10 seconds of Skate (way too weak for what I like). I think weaponry is a bit of a gameplay weakness, knives get in the way more than they help and while it's pretty fun to beat down fools with the Pipe or the Katana, you can also probably do more damage with a combo rather than a weapon and sometimes they get in the way too. I also think enemies have a bit too easy of a time hitting you from a different plane but maybe I just wasn't used to using my character that way either.

Pokemon Twilight Wings Episode 7 The fucking animation, holy shit

I'm still doin Xenoblade but haven't touched it for about a week or so just to concentrate on Detroit: Become Human. I've 100%ed most of the chapters and most of the endgame, there's two or three significant early chapters I still need to work through most of the choices for. I thought I would've needed two full playthroughs but it turns out I needed three (Markus has three choices he can make in an early chapter with Carl that he can revisit in the second-to-last chapter if you choose to resist Carl's son), so I completed one and knocked out a few nodes I wasn't planning on getting quite yet (the "Be Mean to Hank" run and Ralph showing up in one of Kara's endgames) and just started the next one (Save the wounded policeman in the first Chapter, escape Alice's father without using the thing you can find). I'll finish off the early chapters afterwards and then start the final Platinum run (Markus' third Carl choice, not getting out of Alice's house at all, and the "Get all the Tombstones at Amanda's place" run for the final trophy). Also still Fire Emblem Awakening.

Poppin trophs in PS3 Streets of Rage 2. Might take awhile to find someone who wants to boost the online trophs though. Got one more single-player troph to attempt, score 800k points on Hardcore Mode (Hardest Difficulty, start with 1 Life). It should be doable because you can save-state scum it, but I'm about halfway through the game and I'm starting to lose lives in some of these fights even with scumming x_x

I've only ever played Yakuza Kiwami, which is a remake of Yakuza 1. Release order is 1-5, 0, 6 and then the upcoming Like A Dragon, so I'd probably do Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, 3-5 Remaster, 0 (People love the shit out of 0 but seem to be disappointed when they play Kiwami next), 6 and Like A Dragon.
