I should probs update these weekly threads at some point
-
Two or three songs or albums you've been listening to recently Most of what I listened to this week was Pop Smoke's debut/posthumous album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon. The sound's all right, I haven't focused too much on the lyrics yet because I was mostly gaming while doing it. I do recall too many "boo-thing" songs made specifically for the ladies because it's a studio album (I kinda hate when tough-guy or street rappers do that but that's the game they play to get more sales, if you do tough-guy street shit you get the guys, if you do love-song shit, you get the girls and you get the guys trying to fuck the girls so it should theoretically be a wider audience). I think there was a few lines about "when I die/after I die" which suuuuuuucks because he did die and I seem to recall hearing either a few recycled verses or maybe I've just heard the songs as singles or leaks before or something. I'll probably dive deeper into it this week. Also was hitting up more of A Boogie's Artist 2.0 Deluxe. He's probably my favourite modern/newer artist (might be Yungblud too, because apparently I have the taste of a teenage girl), Artist 2.0 was received in a lukewarm way compared to the previous album and I still like about 3/4s of the songs and most of the songs on the deluxe portion.

I watched the first few minutes of Gibiate and definitely got the "TOO SOON GUYS TOO SOON" vibes from it I guess I won't be continuing with Deca-Dence. I don't really like the setting plot-twist and I don't necessarily have a problem with cutesy art styles (Mahoujin Guru Guru is one of my favourite animes after all) but I don't really like how it mixes with the more serious one. And really how the two worlds seem to mix together. I'm about halfway through Boruto now, I try to watch 7 episodes per week (one per day in theory but I usually do a few at a time). Really digging it now, it's not Naruto and doesn't really possess a lot of Naruto's strengths beyond the cool attacks and the overall world set-up, but after the uneven presentation of the first half (boring arc-good arc-boring arc-good arc), it's starting to hit a good stride where even the anime-canon arc I'm watching right now has some good plot twists and interesting character development in it. It's a little weird because it's adapting the movie, some light novels, and the manga but the anime-only "filler" is actually canon (how I saw it explained was that the manga mostly focuses just on Boruto and a little Sarada, so the primary aim of anime-only arcs is to develop the supporting cast and give them more shine-time, with mixed results). Hope it keeps up the pace.

I just bought the digital version of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and the Conquest path of Fire Emblem Fates, have about $12ish left on the card I'm using ($15ish on PSN). First list = that's the only game I can get (because CAD to USD sucks), second list = I can get two of them if there's nothing interesting on the first list, so you can pick more that one So which game or combination of games should I buy with it? Heavy Sega emphasis because I've been watching a lot of Sega Lord X the last little while since the quarantine shut down large parts of wrestling and anime for a few months. I'll pick up whatever wins the poll on Wednesday re: Genesis games, I do have the PS4 collection already but the PS3 Ports have more trophs attached to the individual games so I'll play both versions either way. Only game I won't play right away that I listed is Doom 64, but if that one gets picked I'll play OG Doom 1 on PS4 instead (game used to scare the shit out of me on the SNES and tbh kinda still does). Let's talk about fucking VIDYA

SoR4 is a $33 game and I only had like $15ish left on the combo gift card and my PSN wallet We do have SoR4 on the Switch but I'll probs just get the PS4/trophy version eventually so I haven't really played it

Atm it's New Japan Road on the 20th (I assume it Naito makes it out, this will be the Naito v Hiromu match), Sengoku Lord on the 25th, and then a late July/August tour where the G1 used to be because the Japanese Olympics were supposed to be going on then and major building dates and attention in major Japanese cities would've been hard to come by. New Japan Cup results

The fucking Masochism Shield

Misfit of Demon King Academy 02

I still haven't watched the full episode, just about half of it. Something about it makes me impatient
-
Fire Force S2E2 I feel like I should love Rent-a-Girlfriend but something about it is turning me off of it.

Good fucking god there are so many flowchart variations in this game

That 8 man tag was awesome. Jericho vs OC too

Deca-Dence has potential. I like how the monsters die and the overall set-up. It reminds of Children of the Whale in a way, but it's sorta nothing like it so it might just be similar characters or something.

Awriiight, David and Jenny both added votes, David voted for strictly Ogre Battle 64 and Jenny added on to the three current front-runners Contra Anniversary and Streets of Rage 2 it is. Thanks for the input, guys, will be playing as a side-games after I 100% Detroit

I've only got 3 chapters left in my first playthrough so far I'm a shit investigator (haven't solved a single case), pretty good Gandhi (should've made it bloody tbh), decent fugitive. The flowcharts in this are pretty crazy.
