Bofuri: Itai no wa Iya nano de B?gyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu/Bofuri: I Hate Being In Pain So I'll Make A Full Defense Build Ep 1 is super cute and super dumb and I love it. It's about a video game newbie playing a VRMMO and she decides to put all her stats in defense and accidentally figures out how to game the same and make herself unkillable, but at the cost of being super weak and super slow.

Re:Zero Recap Version Ep 2 was similar to the first episode, it takes awhile to get to the point but the point is enjoyable. It's a little wordy, like people speak in three or four sentences at a time instead of one or two. The action is fast but feels like it doesn't have a lot of weight (similar to how Black Clover's best action scenes feel). Good plot twists but I'm worried about the next time the main character dies and how much of the same scenario I'd have to see over again.

I just got to the time Akira Maeda shot on Andre the Giant (it's a lot less wild and exciting than it sounds, around the 19 minute mark is when Maeda loses his cool) Maeda or Atsushi Onita are the most interesting guys in Japanese wrestling history, I think. Both lunatics in their own ways and both changed pro wrestling in significant ways (probably Onita more because hardcore wrestling found its way overseas while shoot wrestling mostly stayed there)

The '00s American indie scene looks outrageous with how much talent WWE had no interest in compared to now I've mostly been watching old '80s NJPW after the UWF split, and UWF, and now NJPW after the UWF came back.

KENTA and Naito's New Year Dash stuff was pretty good

Naito/Okada is probably the only match worth checking out on Night 2

"Sanada? That Pirate Wanker?" "I'm vegan. That means I've got superpowers. I'm gonna live until I'm 150" "Oi, I didn't even take my B12 supplement today and I was masterful" God dammit, Zack

Might've just been Hiromu's whackjob delivery. In the Jan 4th after-match press conference, he screamed for like a minute or two about how pro wrestling is dangerous but it's also really fun. One can only hope

What did the English commentary say? I watched it in Japanese

Vinland Saga and Dr Stone this time I think. Vinland for much the same reason as last season (and even more, the character development was top-tier great). Dr Stone because it was was somehow warm, spring-time of youth. Best Intro Two best EDs from last season This always acted as a double "FUCK OFF" because episodes would alternate between Alliance (Space America) and Empire (Space Nazis), the outro would move to the next side of the next episode and you kinda hated the cliffhangers. This composer did Gundam Unicorn too, they have a way with space shit (I think they did some Attack on Titan composing too) The song is whatever, but there's a visual at the end of it that I really like. The main characters have hacked up vikings in whatever battle it was taking place in, and a Viking is reaching his arm up to Valkyries descending from Valhalla. However in the anime itself, whenever any of the Vikings die, they're never shown hallucinating or thinking about or desiring Valhalla even if they still live by the "die in battle" code, they're shown thinking about Vinland, a place that's described to them as paradise (warm, rolling fields, grain as far as they eye can see, room for everyone etc) but really is just them mythologizing rumours they've heard of North America and treating it like some fabled paradise (Christianity is also depicted as seeping into Danish culture at the time, the first season/major arc is about the Viking Invasion of England by King Sweyn). I hope the series does end up continuing, because there's a certain character who, assuming he dies, I'm curious about what he sees.

Meltzer's 4.5 Star rating matches and up, pretty much I picked it up for the month and mostly just use it combined with youtube/dailymotion/other sources to go through the historical archives

Looking at the calendar and seeing "2020" is wild. This used to be space-age sci-fi bullshit.

I wish Raw was 1 hour, maybe two if there was no Smackdown. There's like 1 hour of decent to good stuff and then 2 hours of filling time on Raw. 2 segment matches that only need to be 1 segment, 1 segment of promo-time that only needs to be three minutes, etc etc. I dig the Seth Rollins stuff right now, I like the squash-match format when it's not going two segments. A fast-forward through a lot more than I want to just because it's too long.

Highly detailed historic Viking pillaging. Top notch animation and attention to detail and pretty violent. The first three episode dropped at once Vinland Saga 1

I'm probably a faster typist when mistakes and backspaces are allowed because that's just how I naturally do it
