I like the aesthetic and who they've got playing Batwoman. The set-up is 100% CW Superhero formula, it's pretty much Arrow if Ollie was Detective Lance's daughter and Detective Lance started as a police chief and Felicity's tech-helper role was replaced with Curtis. The villain situation is goofy as fuck (they can never help themselves with Bat-villains, always too silly). We'll see where it goes. Just finished off Season 2 of Krypton. Much weaker season as they deconstructed a lot of the Krypton society build-up from last season, and weak in the sense that a lot of the major character events of last season were quickly undone and a lot of the plot revolving around them was stupid (they even used a fucking clone once). A lot of the plot of the second season was also very clearly written around the idea that the universe recognizes the main characters as the main characters and things don't progress in a way that felt believable to a population of people. Good showing by Lobo and Braniac. My favourite Zod that I've seen so far (it's almost like if Patrick Stewart had an intense edge to him) and the Braniac voice is creepy as shit. I miss elements of the show but now the show itself, if that makes sense.

This Shaq/Dame Lillard rap battle is incredible

Finished off Kirby Star Allies, I play a bit of Tetris 99 while listening to podcasts. I think I'll play a bit of Sonic Forces just to see if it's decent and then wait for a PS4 sale. Gonna give Smash Bros Ultimate another go sometime soon but I've played so little Smash over the years that it's a lot to dive into.

Cody just announced AEW Dark, a youtube show (I think?) hosted by Tony Schiavone that features Dark Matches (sorta like Main Event) for Tuesdays

Yep, played a normal tournament mode, did about 30 Spirits and had a chugging random online match. Can't get it up for Smash.

They're becoming more like WCW with each passing day

WWE OSF Pick 'Em 2019 Season - Stage 1 (aka: The Now-Slightly-Longer Season)
Vic Boss replied to Blackjak's topic in Wrestling
Jesus, I thought you were just too busy to pre-game the PPV before the SDL change. Mebs just ignore this one. -
Two or three songs or maybe an album that you've been spinning lately Someone I know had a job interview in NYC so I sent this to them being like "this is probs you right now." But then I kept going back to it instead. I think I listened to Dababy's new album once or twice. I meant to listen to it more but haven't gotten around to it, felt pretty same-y to Baby On Baby. Best song is probably this one

AEW had 1.4 million viewers, which apparently beat last week's Smackdown. NXT had 891k. Can't wait for the Meltzer breakdown. How many people flipped between shows, how many people are crossover fans and unique fans etc. Only demographic NXT beat them in was over 50.

Aight, watched NXT. I agree with the general consensus that it was kinda just PWG with higher production values, and the wrestling was better than AEW. AEW felt more like stars than these guys tho. Shitflower thoughts about the returns ahead

Didn't happen at all in Canada, so I missed that shit too

I made the mistake of watching AEW first. I couldn't get past the first match on NXT before I had to shut it off and try again tomorrow. I don't know if AEW can keep that momentum up (and I assume future crowds are not going to be that jacked for the show, and the crowd definitely lifted the show), but AEW production values make NXT look small-time and it feels looser while NXT still feels WWE-corporate controlled. AEW feels fresh but also throwback, dat WCW ring-noise, NXT feels same-old formulaic (good formula, but still formulaic). The kneejerk fan in me says NXT needs to go on the road ASAP and sign CM Punk.

AEW announces a subscription service in the UK to watch Dynamite live, replays will be on ITV. NXT puts on another Keith Lee vs Dijakovic match to try to have a 5-star match and head off AEW as the "place for wrestling." (It was a badass match and you should go watch it now) Ever-Rising = they're dressing up two guys who look like Trent and Chuck so they can make it look like AEW is copying them.

Nop. Similar concept w/ four players and being able to play as enemies, but that one just looks like it's exclusively boss battles.
