I actually found NXT and UK pretty lackluster this week compared to the main product. I don't think that's ever happened since I started watching again.

AAA's Triplemania is this Saturday. Headlined by Rey Wagner/Dr Wagner Jr vs Blue Demon Jr in a Hair (with extensions) vs Mask match. The match won't be good (they're both 53) but they'll probably bleed a lot and there's a shot BDJ loses his mask. How it pertains to AEW is that there's a trios rematch of The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs The Lucha Bros and Laredo Kid, and one of the other main events is a trios match between Psycho Clown, Cody Rhodes and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez vs Texano Jr, Taurus and a mystery opponent.

SDL was pretty solid. I legit fucking lol'ed at that ending

(Taichi debuted in 2002, Shingo in 2004. Unless by inexperienced you just mean NJPW-wise or Heavyweight-wise)

Night 11 Definitely a "middle of the tournament" show. Solid wrestling all around, another really good showing by Lance Archer, but also wrestlers in "preserving their bodies for the final days" mode (except Tana v EVIL, Tanahashi is always preserving his body and still somehow having 4+ star matches, this is no different)

Mother fuck, that was an awesome Raw. Happy for Dolph Ziggler too

^----- Just so he doesn't have to do it again Final Fantasy XIII: This is a replay because I did play it on 360, but never 100%ed it. Gonna platinum it on PS3. I still really like this game's battle system, how a lot of the story and lore is revealed in the in-game menus (people complained about this, but no one seemed to complain about Mass Effect, Dragon Age or Metroid Prime doing it), aren't particularly bothered by the hallway simulator nature of it (if you have a vast open world with hidden secrets, I'm reading a FAQ anyways), never did pay enough money to be bothered by it's flaws (a middling bargain bin game is still a good game), and didn't think it was the sacrilegious disappointment to the numbers that destroyed FF (that was XI). SMT Strange Journey: Finally getting to the meat of the game I think. Unlocked demon fusion, forma etc.

Girl is having trouble figuring out her feelings for her childhood friend, so she goes to the obvious source to learn more about boys Friedrich Nietzsche Maidens of the Savage Season is so good.

Gangsterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ;_;>

SMT Strange Journey Redux continues. I like how the game prioritizes weaknesses but it doesn't make it easy just to hit something with its weakness. Also how many options and outcomes there are per battle. Platinum'ed Berserk and the Band of the Hawk, did end up being do-able with the Griffith mount Started and beat DuckTales Remastered, was a nice little platformer but the hit detection and environment detection was annoying. I'm jelly of Mera'din's trophy list so I went back and platinum'ed God of War, God of War 2 and God of War Chains of Olympus (just needed to do challenge mode 2, challenge mode and a speed run in 1, and challenge mode and a hard-mode run on Chains), quickly did the few user-generated content trophies in Infamous 2 to set up another platinum if I happen to go back and beat it on hard mode, and currently am trophy hunting in the original Shadow of the Colossus. I'd already beaten the game once before and had 24 of 31 trophies, but they were mostly bronze so the trophy list only read at 39%. I just beat Time Attack on Normal, gonna beat the game a few times and do the collectibles to pop most of the rest of the trophies, then try to beat the game on hard mode (gonna skip Time Attack on Hard).

It's interesting that the Observer rewinds are finally spilling into the NJPW dark ages and it sounds like Inoki wasn't just promoting wrestling and MMA together in a bizarre mishmash, he was trying to job out the wrestlers and the promotion to his MMA guys to put them over instead because he had some involvement in booking for K-1 and Pride too

MJF on Jericho's Podcast is wonderful

Fire Force is starting to cut corners animation-wise in episode 3 :(

It sounds like from what Meltzer's been told or hinted at that AEW is planning to run 100-120 shows per year. 51 episodes of live TV, a weekly Saturday house show, and some PPVs. Also they might be planning to tape TV on the Jericho Cruise.

I could probably rec it to new fans just based on the crowd roar. And then you can follow it up by going "This was actually just a strong match, not even a MOTYC" ;) Naito v Yano was fun for what it was.

Big Dave gave the 5 star treatment to Ibushi vs Ospreay on Night 5 and Ishii vs Moxley from Night 6, and 5.75 for Ospreay v Okada from Night 7. Moxley's first 5-star match
-
Night 8's solid all around. Ishii/Naito, Mox/Shingo, it's all about what you would expect

Just came here to say exactly that
