Did end up watching more Raw than I thought I would
-
I really liked CIMA/Kenny. I got about halfway through Bucks vs Rhodes and had to skip to the end, dead crowd and styles not meshing super well
-
I only ended up watching Black/Cesaro, half of AJ/Ricochet (too long, or maybe the quiet crowd made it feel too long) and the finishes of the WWE and Universal Title matches. G1 season and AEW all on the same weekend = WWE's getting sacrificed

Happens to me every once in awhile if I'm super tired. Wrestling's not something you need to pay careful attention to, it just happens and you absorb it, perfect way to set up comfy zzzzz's

1. Lost Odyssey 2. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (Hero Mode) 3. Mega Man 11 (Normal Mode) 3a. Mega Man 11 (Superhero Mode) 4. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings [Dark Mode] 4a Easy Mode/Roche Path 5 Pokemon Sun 6. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD 7. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga 8. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk 9. God of War 1 (Platinum Trophy) 10. DuckTales Remastered Got every trophy except Extreme Mode (have to beat the game with 3 lives, only a handful of health upgrades, barely any health refills and extra lives), including the one where you have to bounce across the underground of the Amazon with the Pogo Stick. Never played the original. I found the game a little annoying because the hit detection and the things that would cancel out movement were too touchy (especially when spikes can damage you just from walking close to them while on safe on a platform). I did love all the gems and stuff that would pop up out of nowhere and how the score was just collecting vast amounts of money (even if it's just to buy gallery art). Decent little platformer.

I'm gonna be shocked if A Block makes it to the halfway point of the tournament intact. Ospreay's apparently hurt enough to miss tag matches, Ibushi's still got a hurt ankle from Night 1 and ZSJ had his neck cranked on an Okada Tombstone. NIght 3

God of War 1 (Platinum Trophy) Was looking over my trophy list and all of my God of War lists are two or three off of a Platinum. 1 actually seemed pretty do-able, all I was missing was Challenge of the Gods (the original reason I didn't bother trying to platinum these games is that I specifically hate "don't get hit once" challenges), which I powered through while listening to a gaming podcast, and beating the game in under 5 hours, which was apparently quite easily do-able with a special costume after beating challenge (I kept figuring I was fucking up a lot, but I was only about 10-15 minutes off the 3:30:00 time). So I went a did it and popped another platty. I'm not the biggest fan of these kinds of combo-based action games, but it does feel kinda good to have a platinum in one. I'm gonna dick around with a few of the others maybe, but most of them seem to have "Beat Hard Mode" attached to them and I dunno about that one. (Also my Last of Us and Shadow of the Colossus Trophy lists are continuing to aggravate me. LoU because it shows up as 44% overall because of the multiplayer DLC even though I have 76% of the base game and Left Behind's Trophies. SotC is just hurting feelings at this point, I have 22 of 31 trophies but only 39% because none of them are Gold and a lot of them are based on time attacks/hard mode/collecting dinky little fruits or lizard tails)

Welp. I now watch AEW the same way I do WWE, skip a lot of segments and mostly watch matches with people I really like and/or the big matches. The G1 might partly be to blame for this (though it does expose AEW as weak on quality-control in their prelim matches when I watch that vs this), but the wrong people are winning and losing a bit too much for my liking, and I'm reading a bit too much nepotism and schizophrenic promotion where a youtube video will promote one thing, then the presentation or match will undo it (Brandy in particular comes to mind here). (Still haven't seen Kenny vs CIMA and Bucks vs Rhodes and I assume those will both be really good, but the rest of the show has left a lot to be desired from what my hopes and dreams of what AEW could be).

1. Lost Odyssey 2. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (Hero Mode) 3. Mega Man 11 (Normal Mode) 3a. Mega Man 11 (Superhero Mode) 4. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings [Dark Mode] 4a Easy Mode/Roche Path 5 Pokemon Sun 6. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD 7. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga 8. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk 8a. Berserk Platinum Trophy YOSHHHH That was grindy as fuck. Probably not worth it from a gameplay perspective but I like having the Berserk platinum attached to my PSN. I have a One Piece Pirate Warriors game that's also a Musou game, I hope it's easier to platinum/less grinding than this because I don't necessarily love the Musou gameplay but I do like how well they're done as fan-games

Dr Stone 2 This was a little more interesting

It's legit interesting to me hearing how people use their Switches. I am almost 100% a docked TV player (it's too small for my hands so I end up clawing and cramping). A lot of the game journalists/enthusiast press I listen to use it primarily in Handheld because they travel a lot. My sister uses both on the regular. Having all three versions (Handheld only, TV only, maybe a Handheld XL/Pro, and one that can do it all) would probably be a good idea but I always think more than two SKUs is probably confusing the marketplace (even though I guess 3DS, 3DS Lite and New 3DS did it)
-
They actually stopped using the tagline "Gotta catch'em all" years ago because they didn't want to turn people off when they found out there's hundreds of Pokemon and you're probably never getting close to "catching'em all"
-
Berserk and the Band of the Hawk Still I've been grinding the Endless Eclipse because the Platinum Trophy does feel do-able. Also it's a character flaw to publicly decide to quit and then keep going. Apparently there's a Mount that you can use to power through even bosses with if you hit 90%, I'm in the 80s right now so hopefully I can pop it and then use it to power through with weaker characters. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux First SMT game, probably the SMT game that I've been most interested in that isn't one of the Persona games. Also a bathroom game so I'll probably be playing this for a million years Started it on Expert mode because the game said you can turn it down if it's too hard. I like the battle system so far, hitting a weakness imparts extra hits, it feels like it's so much more important to pay attention to enemy weaknesses than normal JRPGs. Also whenever I talk to demons I just say the stupidest thing possible because I'm assuming that's how the recruitment system works

Also for getting kids. Less things to lose/break/detach from it.

The most significant game it doesn't seem to support is Mario Party, though that may be patched eventually. It supports anything that can play handheld mode, and you can use joycons with it. There's no power difference like 3DS/New 3DS so it should otherwise play everything. This one's a shrug for me. When I play Switch it's in TV mode because handheld mode cramps my fingers, they're just a bit too long and I end up clawing the thing to press shoulder buttons. I way preferred the Wii U Tablet size for handheld mode.

Yeah, if they keep up the animation on Fire Force, I might keep watching it, but the actual content isn't all that compelling.

Last night's Raw was pretty bad. Heyman's worst traits (bad '90s soap opera storylines) and some of Vince's recent worst traits. As soon as a match gets restarted, I skip the rest of it (though I did stick around for Ricochet vs the Guns n Gallows because I like those two guys a lot). Most of the time WWE does it, feels like they wasted my time on purpose presenting one thing only to flip around and present another, usually lesser thing (singles match I want to see turns into a 6-man tag or something). All these 2/3 fall matches (CMLL does them better so I can't even get into them from the novelty perspective because I see tons of them every week) and all the excuses to not have wrestling in commercials needs to go. Just stop having regular commercials/have regular commercials during set times like actual sports do, or go back to what it was before.

Conspiracy theory going around that Kawhi held off signing to sabotage the Lakers, they'd miss out on viable #3 free agent additions to play with Lebron and AD while waiting for him to make his decision, confident that he'd join a super-team to win and also they're the Lakers. Also sounded like the Raptors entertained the idea of trading for Paul George and Westbrook to get him to stay but they didn't have enough to make it work.

1. Lost Odyssey 2. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (Hero Mode) 3. Mega Man 11 (Normal Mode) 3a. Mega Man 11 (Superhero Mode) 4. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings [Dark Mode] 4a Easy Mode/Roche Path 5 Pokemon Sun 6. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD 7. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga 8. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk 70% trophies. My first Musou game. It was pretty perfect for the source material, Berserk fits the style really well. It was extremely satisfying slicing of hordes of enemies with Guts, especially as his story upgrades came along. They told the story (or what I know of it, haven't read the manga) really well, included a lot more cutscenes and dialogue than I thought they would. I don't think I'd want to play more Musou games without a familiar property/the fanservice of that property involved. I do have One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 sitting around to play at some point, I'm hoping the trophies are a bit easier to finish off in that one. I completed the main story on Hard mode (which is fairly easy), beat the Endless Eclipse with Guts, did about 50% of "Desires" (mission packs) in Endless Eclipse with a few other characters and the "only" trophies I had left to do in the game involve grinding out Endless Eclipse with the other 7 characters. It's a 100 floor dungeon, if you die, back to the start or your most recent restart point (you earn one every 20 floors). Each floor has a mission, they're split up into packs of 5 missions (some of which come with three Stray War Demons, tough enemies, hanging around the map to pick up a collectible). You only get a single set of healing items (every 5 or 10 floors there's a chance at earning full health) and the enemies get progressively more active and have more HP (harder to grind down) and especially the bosses do too. It was relatively fun as Guts because his final upgrades let you transform and wreck shop, but most of the characters don't have a transformation so it significantly slows down the game and makes it harder to beat bosses especially in the later levels. It feels like something I could grind out eventually and maybe get lucky with the weaker characters, but it's just not as fun to play anyone who isn't Guts.

Night 1 Ospreay vs Archer (holy shit, Ospreay's gonna have an AJ Styles G1) and Tanahashi vs Okada are the must-watches. ZSJ/Sanada was wonderful for that style, but I don't think it plays well in front of Americans. Ibushi vs KENTA eventually got there, but I felt like Kenta was working sorta-heel in front of a crowd that didn't hate him and in front of a crowd who knew him as Hideo Itami and not KENTA. They didn't react to most of his big moves or spots
